the whole rear on the first gun is different, i think it still could be the heavy cycler, same with the gun in the middle. though if anything the topleft could still be an SMG or assault rifle, but im possitive the one in the middle with the round mag would have to be a heavy cycler.

higby has made refernece to this gun, which i suspect is the LMG heavy assaults start with, if you watch the TR video, you will see a thingie pointing to"heavy cycler mag"

obviously the other ones are the MCG, repeater and chainblade, a dur.

Regarding the picture: are you sure that's a Sweeper? Looks like it could be the Jackhammer, an opinion I base solely on the caption "NC shotty".

As for everyone else on that middle one... it's some sort of Cycler upmod, if the top-left is the Cycler. Look at the body. Same stock, same grip, same body, same barrel shroud. Some of you fuckers need to learn about guns, jesus it's sad.

Not sure at all, although it looks pretty benign and there's only the single barrel so I just figured it wasn't impressive enough to be a jackhammer. I believe the weapons also are skinned based on side, so even common pool stuff sports a fancy Empire-specific skin depending who drew it.

I would also guess the middle one is some Heavy Cycler kind of LMG thing, while the "smaller cycler" is the usual rifle/MA version. There might be a carbine version too, but I dont think it's any of the weapons in that picture.

Also, we've already seen the TR AV weapon in one of the older screenies, so dont think it would be really an AV tool either.

Somebody posted an old screen that had a weapon I had not noticed before, some SMG/carbine'ish TR weapon/version of cycler. That was intredasting.

Well please some one correct me if I'm wrong. Now I think Higby mentioned that assault troops wouldn't be able to use the Heavy Cycler nor would Heavy Infantry be able to use the regular cycler.

I either read it off some post or heard Higby say it on a broadcast (not confirmed of course) He could of course have meant a different gun but I thought it was the cyclers he was talking about

Charmander is the word you are looking for. :) You can upgrade those into Charmeleons and Charizards, but sidegrading is not really optional.

Why would Bulbasaur fit in VS category? VS are all about highly advanced technology. Bulbabsaur represents nature, the enviorment, natural living. Those are complete polar opposites.

The heavy cycler IS the MCG, why else would extra space for rounds only exist on Rexo, because only they can carry it.

One of those weapons is the long range rifle, the cycler. The other is the empire specific SHOTGUN that they have spoken about in interviews.

I don't think people were debating whether or not the gun in the center and the bottom right were the same gun. They were debating whether or not the MCG had been renamed the Heavy Cycler, a term coined by the devs/SOE.

I recall Higby responding to someone on Twitter about whether or not VS sniper rifles will have bullet drop, etc. The way it was worded made it sound like each faction got a sniper rifle too, and VS sniper shot lasers or something.

When I saw this picture, I thought the middle one was a sniper rifle (without the scope) with revolver-style cylinders instead of a magazine.

I thought cylinders instead of a drum magazine at first because of the way its shaped compared to the MCG. Middle silhouette has dimples similar to what you'd find on revolver cylinders, whereas the MCG is nice and smooth. The problem with this idea is the top of the cylinder is nowhere near the barrel like you'd expect if this were the case.

However, after someone pointed out how similar its base looks like the Cycler (top left), I think the middle one could be showing off weapon mods: drum magazine, longer stock and barrel...

It's really hard to tell with these silhouettes in the way. I wish someone could come along and just make them all disappear.

The answer is no (watch them go change it on us just to show me up). Cycler != MCG. There shouldn't even be a debate - there's plainly a picture of the MCG and a bunch of other weapons (some iconic, like the MCG) that... well.. aren't the MCG. This whole thing is detracting from the magnificent splendour of the image. It's like debating whether the sky is blue or polkadot purple. I guess some people just need stupid, banal garbage over which they can argue.

just before the barrel starts on that gun, you can makeout that black like shape thats similar to the 2 guns on that theme pic, but it could be a common sort of design for TR weapons, also...i see no scope in that infil pic.

Also that gun looks nothing like the sniper rifle seen in the PS2 trailer @ 30 seconds.
