Will this broadcast be saved on twitch TV again and/or somewhere else so those of us who are at work during the broadcast can watch it later on?
I hope they finally give us some details on the Lightning! It's my fav PS1 vehicle and I'm dying to hear about how it's being "re-imagined" in PS2...

The hidden message being that T-Ray and his team have made the VS look so much cooler that every time a podcast is announced, it will now be advertised with VS equipment.

It was last time - if they don't put it up we will. ;)

They just want everything to be perfect, so of course they'd choose a VS image.
P.S. - Awesome Hamma, as always! Merci, monsieur!

I can't wait, this should be good. I'm really looking forward to hearing what they have to say.

So it is about nanite sytem vehicles which is common pool vehicles right? So it makes perfect sense to announce this with a picture of an empire specific vehicle. I mean, I am not complaining. It looks badass and I can't wait to watch it, Just sayin

So maybe out of this will finally see a picture of the lightning. I mean what do we know so far common vehicle wise. Gal, Sunder, Lib...We gotta be seeing something new in this I would think.

It will go up on our YouTube channel. It sounds silly that we remove it from TwitchTv but it's a legal thing.

I just got reminded, has it been covered anywhere if vehicles will have spawn timers? I hope they go over it in the cast

I just hope they find a way to balance the game come live launch.
Rock, Paper, Scissors is not balanced.
Rock, Rock, Rock is balanced.
The crying about the Lasher still continues in PS1.
I know that balancing is one of the more difficult issues PS2 faces. I wish Higgles and crew the best of luck on tackling a very tough issue. We are counting on you Obi-wan-Higgles, you are our only hope.

Rock, Paper, Scissors is not balanced.
Rock, Rock, Rock is balanced.
Rock, Rock, Rock is also boring as hell.
I find the only game that should be based on Rock, Paper, Scissors is...well, Rock, Paper, Scissors. I think any MMO that tried to reach such a basic form of balance is doomed for failure. When you have all the elements and variables of a Planetside game, balance is far more delicate than that.

I agree with Vancha on this one. Rock, Rock, Rock would get tired after only a short time.
If the only difference between the empires is their color, then we lose a major element in gameplay. It is likely impossible to perfectly balance every single vehicle and weapon against each other, but they can be close enough. I can already predict with absolute certainty that balance is something that will be debated hotly when the game is released and likely for the entire lifetime of the game. However, if the only solution is to make everything identical and make PS2 just red vs blue vs purple, I'd prefer a slight situational imbalance.

And that is where side grades come in.
Notice after I said "Rock, Rock, Rock", I pointed out that I understand balancing is one of the tougher issues PS2 is going to have deal with.

Rock, paper, scissors is nowhere close to balance if an empire's feature is versatility.

This.
I think that the Planetside 2 team will be able to make the game very well-balanced while still making it wonderfully diverse.

Lower weapon TTK's will help significantly as well, since it'll be more about positioning, flanking, getting the drop on your opponent, and getting the first shot in, and less about how many tenth's of a second faster your weapon kills than your opponent's.

I agree and it's the reason why I have never complained about the MCG when most infantry fights happen at ranges more suited to the JH / Lasher. (except for hit detection ofc).
I don't envy the DEVS trying to balance the weapons and maybe we shouldn't think it is possible to balance an individual class. Think perhaps that TR (HA+AV+MAX)=NC(HA+AV+MAX)=VS(HA+AV+MAX).
In PS1 there was a history of making weapons so overpowered that it caused uproar within the playerbase (cloaking phantasm with a gun! BRF's! Lasherprior to current, Dragon). I hope we won't see that in PS2.
