Yep, sounds about right. Looks like a Pewpew Assault Rifle (PAR) to me. It looks pretty badass too and I definitely prefer it over the Pulsar model. Although even w/o the energy nade under-attachment it seems awfully front-heavy. It could probably use a bit more meat in the stock.

Plus, if I got my hands on one of those the first thing I'd do is take a saw to the handguards connecting the mag, grip, and buttstock together at the bottom....

Starfire UGL! The other weapon is a pulsar with UGL and it makes the normal pulsar look like pussy.

1 general wish though:
If there is lasher in the game it should keep its original design. It was awesome! I think lasher of all the weapons in PS was the only one looking as a military weapon...

would explain its lack of stock.

Actually it has a b-stock, it is just veeeeeery thin. Reminds me of aks-74's.

its allover the place, sorry i cant quote a source, as i read everything, its impossible to remember where you read it all.

But matt has talked about the LMG been the lead in weapon for the assault class. there is also mentions around the place of a "heavy cycler"

Also we know that light assaults will generally be using an assault rifle, something thats long range, and we would presume have a stock and an under rail attachment.

the pulsar does not seem to fit the general description of an assault rifle:

Top one at looks like a Starfire arm for the MAX. Admittedly it may not work the same way this time around.

The bottom one looks almost like a version of the Pulsar with a stock and an underslung attachment. It also looks...short. I wonder if maybe this is an SMG or carbine variant?

Yeah it looks pretty cool. And I always was a fan of the look of the Lasher (even tho I hated its operation most of the time). But I would think it'd get in the way of your firing hand if you had to quickly pull out the weapon and bring it into a ready position.

Although now that I think of it, it might actually make it easier to keep it ready for longer periods since you might be able to rest your wrist on the guard a bit.

Higby makes a few comments on LMG's in this thread (http://www.planetside-universe.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38234&highlight=lmg) starting on page 2 where he says LMGs will be one of the weapons availabile to the Heavy Assault class. I also remember one of the Devs stating that Carbines would be usable by Engie's but I don't remember where I read that.
