Some things that have been bothering me for a while and I haven't found the answers to:

Situational Awareness:

1. Are there different views available when driving vehicles, like third person view, rear view, etc.?

2. Is there going to be some sort of temporary marking of infantry and vehicles, similar to spotting in BFBC2 or BF3?

3. What are all the ways to make enemy soldiers and vehicles visible on your and that of your teammates mini-map.

4. Is there going to be an indication of the direction you are being fired at, i.e. if you get hit does it indicate the direction of the enemy fire?

5. Do combat air vehicles posses sensors, like radars for instance, capable of acquiring hostile air and ground vehicles? This is related to 2., if they do have such systems implemented do they find and mark targets just for the pilot or this data is also transmitted to the allies.

Spawning:

6. Are we going to be able to spawn on friendly soldiers, in the Galaxy, the Liberator, or in the Sunderer?

7. Excluding the mentioned spawn locations in 6., generally what are the spawn locations, only controlled structures or we would be able to spawn anywhere in a controlled territory?

8. Are we going to have a choice where do we want to respawn, and is it going to be zone/location limited somehow, or we would be able to respawn throughout the whole territory our Faction controls at that given time?

They have said 3rd person would be available in some vehicles.
Don't know
Don't know
One would assume - no real info.
They have mentioned this - but we don't have full details on what it means.
Yes you can spawn on a player - but it is on the skill tree and not by default. Other than that Galaxy is the only mobile spawn we know of.
We don't know for sure but I would think it's safe to assume structures will be spawn points as in PS1.
Not sure on this but again it would probably be safe to assume it's similar to PS1.

In the mmorpg.com interview, Matt said there would be Command tree unlocks for both squad spawning and spawning beacons.

I'm wondering if spawn beacons will be available to a whole outfit or empire or just limited to a small group/squad of players.

Hmm it seems not much is known on these features. Hopefully 1-2 of these questions would make it to the Community night event tomorrow :)

All of the commander abilities they've talked about have been described as benefiting the squad. I don't think commander skills will provide any benefit to Empire-mates not squadded with you.

How big was a squad in PS1?

How big was a squad in PS1?
There is/were squads and platoons.
Squads is/were 10 people and a platoon is/was 3 squads.

The No. 1 slot in each squad was the squad leader (who gained command experience points rather than battle experience points from each base capture). The Squad leader of Yellow squad was designated as Platoon Leader.

Everyone in your platoon would appear on the may as a number, therefore you could see where everyone was, and note where the were should they be killed.

However, ther were times, especially for large outfits and especially in the good times, when outfits used to run multiple platoons. People in platoon no 1 couldn't see platoon no 2 on their tac map, maybe ps2 can do something about that.
