What are some of the PS1 weapons and vehicles you would like to see make a comeback post launch of PS2?I am hoping for the Phatasm and some of the buggies make a comeback.Especially the Phatasm. If done right could lead to some interesting drops at night.

I really hope the Phantasm makes its way back in. It's my most used vehicle.

I wouldn't want to see anything ancient-tech styled, but the return of router functionality might be nice, depending on whether it fits in PS2 (similarly, if the Phantasm were to return I'd rather see it look more like everything else).
Also, I'll miss my bolt driver if it's not there at release. If that's the case, I'd like to see that return. :p

ams
router (functionality, not necessaryly the original vehicle)
phantasm (unarmed, as i heard ps1´s phantasm had a gun now?)
and i wonder when the first masochist yells BFRS!

It had a gun for a few weeks before they finally changed it. Was pretty annoying to basically have a cloaked mossie with the armor of a liberator. If you look carefully, you can still see where the gun was mounted on the model.

personally, I'm not a fan of the phantasm just because it was unarmed and cloaked. I love the idea of an Air Cav Light Transport (made a thread in the idea forum) but for post launch I'd like to see new vehicles along with some variants of current vehicles
1) Vehicle Transport (GAL variant..think skyhook)
2) Light Transport (Liberator variant, takes the role of the phantasm delivering small teams for spec ops)
3) Buggies (customization like tanks so I can replicate my beloved skyguard :p )

ANT (adds another level of strategy)
AMS (w/cloaking bubble, allows for specops)
Phantasm (specops is fantastic)
Flight variant BFR (in its current state, nobody can complain about them. nerfed down, fairly balanced now.)

Regarding post launch vehicles I'm hoping to see the Vulture.
I hope my Scorpion makes a return.
Can't tell if serious. If you actually got kills with that at a consistent rate to make it a viable weapon then you are amazing. Would be interesting if they reintroduced it with some changes.

That's a point. Rather than hoping for the return of anything, I think I'd rather see their functionality implemented in a new, interesting way (assuming it was no worse than the original).

Although he is amazing you don't need to be that to get kills with it consistently.
All you have to do is to get the bombs to explode at the level where the nme are hiding. the crucial thing is the bombs have to explode above the ground, once they hit the ground they don't explode.

On topic.
the Ant and the refill function.
the Deli, apart from anything else the TR/NC may possibly need a fvehicle that can float on water.
Edit again ..... we may need a router. If the bases are too defensible it may be necessary to break fortesses.

That's why I liked it since it takes some skill to master. During one of my best runs with it one day, I had a k/d of 134/3 with it, and that was after they nerfed it. If you know how to use it properly, it's like having a hand-held flail. I'm almost certain I was the first player on the server to get the auraxium merit for the scorpion. Loved it and hope something like that returns.
One of my favorite combos was the scorpion/bolt driver combo. Fire the scorpion, wait until it's about to explode, then hit an enemy sniper with the bolt driver. It's an insta-kill 90% of the time.
But yeah, the big problem was players didn't know how to use the scorpion, due to bad help pages in-game. They don't realize it can 1-hit kill players on a consistent basis if used properly.

I'd like to see some achievement-based vehicles like the Vulture too. But this time actually make the unlocked vehicles better than the original. The Vulture was inferior to the Liberator in almost every way. As both a pilot and bombadier, I prefer the lib in almost all situations. Yes you were more likely to survive in a Vulture, but were much less likely to get a kill with it.

Buggies and some sort of floating vehicle like a Deli....but NOT the Deli.
Perhaps Amphibious Buggies!!!

Any of the buggies. Enforcer especially, It was just devastating with a good crew. I would like to see some of the deli's make a return and some form of the router.

I don't understand why people are calling for an AMS when the Galaxy does the function of the AMS now. If you want to be more sneaky for spec ops then give the Galaxy the ability to cloak when deployed. We don't need to bring that slow ass truck back just for nostalgia.
Now buggies on the other hand. Those things need a return.

Because driving on the ground is fun and the Galaxy is huge.

sundy has equip term now. if your squad wants to mine an area you can bring a sundy along and lay mines, reclass, and lay more mines, rinse, repeat.

Well the AMS wasn't exactly tiny. And are you suggesting we should have an air and ground varient for every vehicle? Because flying is fun too.

Aside from being top heavy the AMS was pretty small.
I don't know why someone who enjoys flying would bother using a Galaxy as a spawn point since that part is over when you land and deploy.

And what's with AA vehicles? You might as well pull a MAX they pretty much serve the same purpose right?

yep.
but of course on the topic of MAXes, WDKHIWIB (we don't know how it works in beta)
i'm imagining groups of sundies carrying AV/AA maxes as a kind of siege strike force.

Small compared to what? A tower? It was still easily one of the biggest ground vehicles in the game.

Whilst they both serve the role of AA, they still work rather differently, or at least they did in PS.
MAXes were far more static, lending themselves to being mostly defensive, or for holding a position. They also usually required support and/or cover to be useful, with the possible exception of being above the flight ceiling, a VS MAX, or both.
The SG was far more self sufficient and more importantly mobile, meaning not only could it be used defensively but it could be used much more effectively on the offense too. This was in part helped by the fact that, unlike their MAX brethren, they weren't so easy for air to prey on.
And I know it's been said the Lightning will be the replacement for the SG, but I am very much skeptical. That however, is a different topic.
