So being 1 shot is never a good feeling and definitely speeds up the pace of the game . How do most people feel about it from planetside 1 there was a few things that could one shot a person such as tanks, liberators ,scorpions ,flails ,Orbital strike ,boomer and being ran over . A few things that used to anniversary pistol ,triple jack and tele frag glitch.

Now with a new arsenal of weapons coming how do u feel about it with the pace of the game being even faster .

wat

Not sure if serious or trolling.

//I don't even know what you're talking about, do you mean OS/Lib's/Tanks/etc? Or actual guns? If you mean guns in general then just NO.

The only time you should one shot somebody at full would be with a head shot and a sniper outfitted for maximum damage in a single shot (this would need drawbacks like low rate of fire and reload after every shot and other stuff)

although that depends on how hard it is to compensate for gravity movement wind and a couple other variables.

You don't want to make it easy to one shot but you don't want to make it impossible to use the sniper rifle either.

I wont be using the rifle no matter what anyway. i probably couldn't hit a TR scrub that's standing still 50 yards away :p

Sometimes you get splattered. Part of the game.

My take on 1 hit kills, other than getting hit with a tank shell or being ran over by a vehicle I'm not really in favor.

Given the scope of the game and the huge number of people playing weapons with potential to 1 hit kill would kind of spoil it. Engagements wouldn't last very long and plus a 1 hit kill just adds in a luck factor in most cases.

Even if it were limited to Sniper Rifles and they gave them ridiculous CoF bloom, bullet drop, having to compensate for wind direction, and having to already lead the target greatly I still wouldn't be in favor of it. No go to 1 shot kills please.

Fuck yeah, this thread again!

EDIT, Actually I want to say more:
Hey fuckwit, the forum automatically searches based on the proposed thread title and shows you, explicitly, that this has been done before.
Come the fuck on.

^^^ Well this here sums up my thoughts on it. Make it a skill to get a 1 shot. And of course only with certain weapons....

i myself find being one shotted highly annoying yet highly thankful for when your really low on health after killing someone only to run info someone else before you could heal and one shot them. its an love-hate relationship for me as i can really hate being killed instantly but absolutely love at times. really just something more to make oneself more aware at not just running about all willy-nilly

Wouldn't that make TR overpowered?

Wouldn't that make TR overpowered?

Why would it make just the TR over powered? Every faction should have a long ranged high damage weapon.

Because they can fire their high power long range weapon more times per minute than other factions can.

Within reason. Sniper headshot, tank kill.

Being run over by a quad or being bumped by a quad is a big difference. Please make it more workable that bf3 vehicle hit detection. It's painful

I'd say no. Some exceptions. I didn't mind much that a bolt driver could one-shot a cloaker as the reload was so long that you'd only really get one shot off usually if you were jumped as a sniper. Otherwise though, no. No sniper headshots killing people in one hit either. Sniping needs to be kept toned down. For everyone else, keeping a slightly higher TTK than most other FPS games lets people who aren't amazing at FPS games to compete more easily.

I think sniper headshots should be survivable for medium and heavy armor types but beyond that, yes. Some attacks should instantly kill you, like a direct tank blast.

I'm fine with light armor/infiltrator/pj's being 1 shot. This being with the sniper rifle. I believe Adv Rexo It should take 2 shots to the head to drop them. sniper rifle ofc.
