Hello planetsiders,

Not seen it anywhere but www.planetside2.com uses flash player for there website and Apple inc for iPad and iPhone are anti flash players what's understandable due to the high data use for a moblie device.

Anyone know if (or if devs are viewing ) there will be a iPad/iphone App for the website?

Coz its not a user friendy website on apple

Happy gaming,
Magpie

Don't think you'll find any Flash on the new PS2 website though...

Meh, why do you need to see a windows FPS website on an i-device?

Not sure if you guys got the memo or not, but there a shitload more i-devices than others out there and *gasp* PC Gamers use them to view websites.

It's a valid question and not an appropriate thread for Android vs iOS. So let's keep it on topic please. If you want to debate that head to the lounge and create a thread ;)

We are continually in the process of making adjustments and improvements to our websites. I can tell you first hand many of us use iPhones so I'll be sure to bring this up.

Infact when using ps1 site it tells me I need flash 8 and on ps2 site it only show half a page and I can't use the menu bars to nav around so when Hamma posts a update that sends a link to the main ps2 I can't read it lucky iOS 5 has updated A build in reader at the top of the page to combat flash websites

That's good news, depending what software you use i heard it's not too hard to make a website app but all depends on how good the app
And the coders are hah had a little play around with dreamweaver cs5.5 but mine turned out shittie hah :)

Dependin what iOS you have, on some websites if you tap where the address bar is you should see a Buttom saying "Reader"
Tap that and it will come up as a doc like Viewer

Hope this helps your boredom at work ;)

Should use Android, not shitty Apple products that run on IOS.... iPhone, iPod and Ipad are such fail, just made for the retarded Apple fanbois who sucked Steve Job's dick. I'm sorry for his family and friends but hopefully now he has gone that company will die.

Planetside 2 staff: Make a PS2 mobile website. It obviously shouldn't use flash. I use an Android phone, but I was reallllly close to buying an iPhone.

I think that having a mobile website is important to any business, PS2 included. I know tons of people who have iPhones that are PC gamers. Making the website assessable to as many people as possible is the most important thing they could do, no matter what device they use.

I just got off the apple train. Iphones are toys when you compare to Google Nexus.

Buy a device that supports flash!

Did you not see what I said?

Typically when a moderator tells people to stay on topic they do so.. so yea let's go ahead and stay on topic. A mobile compatible site is awesome and needed especially for the live website when it comes about. When I think mobile website I don't think flash.

So either create a new thread or contribute to the actual topic of the OP.

Not to be a killjoy or anything , but I play planetside on my pc . I dont have an ipad or iphone or imac. I use my pc when I'm not in planetside. is there going to be a similar type of website interface (not touchscreen, just normal mouse) for us pc users at all?
I'd like to be able to set up my favourites , check stats , etc offline too . Even if just to save the dead time staring at the character select screen in game .

Yes - they showed that off at E3 as well. :)

There will be a stats website as well for sure.

This was an old bump, I am locking it now please utilize search in the future.
