For expansion, maybe. I, personally, would like some sort of katana. Infiltration suit. Then go hunting for officers. Maybe stab through a few windshields. Cut open and rewire a MAX to do humorous things.:D

That really makes little sense. Firstly, it's an FPS with melee weapons as a last resort. It wouldn't make any sense to have a powerful melee weapo that could do what you say.

It makes sense for infils, they are really defenseless. If they have an implant to increase dmg, why not a commonpool knife or another empire knife.

And if you think knives arnt gonna be used, then take alook at the new trailer.

I'm thinking a melee-booster implant combined with your secondary power-up for your knife would result in plenty of damage for those assassinations of yours

Kinves will be commonly used by people who want to take advantage of stealth.

I would call being invisible the best defense you can get.

How can you shoot something you cannot see?

I would have to say Im against the idea of Super Uber ninja swords. nothing would suck more than walking around, minding my own business then *FI-SSSSHHHH!!!* My head pops off.

Invisible men + Ninja Swords = :nono:

Before you sugest an idea you have to look it at from 2 different points of view:

The attacker/user: OMFG this Ninja sword is badass! I just killed 10 guys without being spotted!!
The victim/target: OMFG those ninja lamers suck! I just got killed 10 times in a row by some Lame Inf.

Same reason a vast majority of gamers hate snipers.

Infiltrators are not really meant for combat. I mean, sure there are situations where they might be good for springing traps, but for the most part I'd rather see them stay in hacking/spy roles.

Just my 2 cents.

i think that the knives they have are good enough. no sword is needed.

i agree with no swords but perhaps a damage mod when you attac from behind

this plus the melee booster plus the bayonette secondary power-up should be all you need for maximum effectiveness with assassinations

Unless you could have like...a special ability implant where yuo had super reflexes and could block bullets with it. :D

Alright, but for me, nothing was ever more fun than jumping into a large group and beserking with a sword.

i have to admit that sneaking up to a platoon and berserking them all with a sword would be pretty fun to watch
