View Full Version : What if I get two beta keys?
Has anyone seen this addressed? Being a current PS1 subscriber since 2005, and a PC gamer subscriber, it seems like I might get two keys.
Does that mean I'll get super awesome mega-powered priority if I can input them both? (Given that logic can I buy 10 mags at the store and roid-out my chances).
In reality, I assume we might be able to only input one key - so which one should a hardcore PS / drooling PS2 fan do?
Give it to a friend? I might pick up a mag or two depending on the price to get a few friends in who are really interested but never played PS1.

If you buy multiple mags you have a separate key for each one. For your case you should have one for having an account, but that key will likely be attached to the specific account. As for the one from the magazine, find a friend to give it to or sell it if anyone's stupid enough to buy it lol.
I had my main account for PS1 and then for about a year had a second account so hopefully I'll get a key for each account, but if they're attached to each account it would suck kinda.
I could be wrong about the key being attached to the account, but who knows.

Yea tell me how the beta key looks on the inside of the APRIL issue of PC Gamer
I don't mean what if I have multiple mag keys, I mean one from having the PS sub, and the other from PC gamer.
Since entering the keys will give priority into PS2 beta, should I enter one before the other (which "pool" of people do I want to be in).
I am going to go out on a limp and say to enter the PS sub key first because I trust the devs will be true to their word and let in PS1 subbers first. (I merely started this thread to see if anyone has caught official word on this, because I hate speculating).
This is all based around the idea that we can only enter in one key to be linked to our account (again, speculative).

From what Higby said the PC gamer keys and the PS1 players are at the same time. So it wont matter.
PS2 is already on the SOE account games list, so if all they do is activate it on old PS1 accounts you wouldnt have to even enter a key.

I think you still need 3 accounts to experience all 3 empires on the same server? So unless you want to delete characters during the beta to play on one server with your friends you probably want to create 3 accounts with your beta keys.
I would imagine during beta they would lift that restriction to facilitate testing, Sirisian
Or wipe characters on a regular basis.

Stop with the April fools thing people.
I'm sure many of us will end up with multiple beta keys.

Use the PS 1 subscription key first, it's highly unlikely it will have less priority over PC gamer magazine.
If it doesn't you can flame the devs 24/7 because a 8/9 year veteran loosing out to some 15 year old with his mum paying for a magazine subscription would be world ending for me.

You probably dont get any keys for ps1 subs. That accounts will probably just be activated to access beta. Why bother creating keys for it? So no problem which one to enter first :)

I just realized that my account started on 6/27/05. Do vets get first access or something?

PlanetSide Players will be among the first to get in I don't believe that your join date will matter.
