What Are You Most Looking Forward To in Beta?

If your lucky enough to get a beta code what are you most looking forward to in planetside 2?

for me, im looking forward to the epic battle that will happen and testing out the cloaker class, snipers and seeing how the ES fighters fly, seeing all the new items and whats changed from ps1, and testing out the xbox 360 controller.

Please no troll we dont no when beta starts but its good to get the hype and talk about it :love:

Cert trees, we have seen nothing on these except a blurry Reaver tree. Then I'll check out all the ES HA weapons since that will likely determine which faction I play. Then go see if I can fly a plane.

Just getting a feel for the game. It's much easier to argue what would and wouldn't be good for the game when you can appreciate the speeds, scales, sizes, fluidity etc.

I'd probably enjoy finding funny bugs and glitches, too.

We also find out what advantage Nvidia cards have over AMD's, if any.

I agree with Vancha -- we make a lot of assumptions based on what PS1 plays like, but getting a sense of PS2's "flow" will greatly influence the forum discussions and new suggestions/tweaks.

Personally, I'm most looking forward to playing as an Inf, checking out flight physics, hotdropping, and exploring the snow and forest environments.

As sappy of a response as this is, I will most enjoy working with all of you and the devs together to make this into what it should be. There's a deep sense of gratification that comes not only with shooting you elmo's and barneys, but also with working with you determine why my bullets didn't kill you fast enough, or why you were able to clip through that wall and escape my inevitable freedom fury.

I want to get a feel for the guns. I don't know how to articulate this but for me FPS all have different 'feels to the guns. That's why I could never play any of the modern warfare games, the guns felt weird. Like the Kar98 in the original Call of Duty, the one from aught three, was one of my favorite rifles in a video game hands down.

Initially, I'll probably have to get an air vehicle. I want to see the entirety of the continent(s).

I want to drive around - like a frickin' tourist.....with BAD intentions.

Where are the chokepoints ?, ambush spots ?, CE fields ?, hiding spots ?, sniper locations ?, how far up a cliff can I jetpack my way up .....can I leap frog from ledge to ledge after a brief recharge ?,.......

I tend to envision the first several days (or weeks) I will be exploring the world, taking in the eye candy (if it's as gnarly of a visual immersion as I imagine),......

My twacked nugget may spend most or all of Beta in a "honeymoon fog". It might all just "LOOK SO BITCHIN'"....that I focus on the visuals intead of game bugs/mechanics.

I'm gonna have FUN exploring indoors and outdoors. I can't wait to "see" EVERYTHING" in PS2.....from the inside-out.

How far into any given cert tree(s) will we be allowed to go ? Will ALL it be wide-open from the get-go, or will we have to put in moderate or LONG hours to really get deep into cert tree(s) ?

How many muzzle variations can we try ? Even if it's all up for grabs - will we have time to try it ALL ?

2. Engineer class.
3. Sunderer repair ability.
4. Flight model.

What I expect to see:
1. Drivergunner tanks hitting trees.
2. Drivergunner tanks running around solo.
3. Low level of customisation for vehicles.
4. "Flying camera" (la PS1) flight model.

For me I think it would have to be the MAX units, I want to know how they will preform in large and small scale battles, I want to know how much damage they can give against the enemy with AI, AA and AV and how much armour they have and how durable they are in combat, plus each ones special ability :)

Bombarding the bug system with an absurd amount of reports on every little thing that annoys me before, during, and after a battle.

As for game mechanics that I wanna test; Landmines, Aircraft, Tanks, VS weapons, and Quads. I will get a Quad to FLY, I don't know how yet but I will.

EDIT* and super AA lighting tank riding on the back of a galaxy, providing superior AA cover to those lowly land based, not possibly broken systems.

Vehicles vehicles vehicles. I'm a little unsure about being both the pilot and main gunner for the Magrider, but I'm hoping that there will be a way to switch the big gun to my gunner and run a classic Magrider out on the battlefield.

Though I know that I'm going to be using the AA Lightning as much as possible.

Finding the easiest way to piss the most people off as quickly as possible, all in the name of beta-testing.

I mean come on, some of us have to find exploits so that we can get people to complain on the forums and get said exploits removed.

It's a mix of 3 things:
Seeing what kind of non-combat and support roles/activity/certs there are
testing infantry weapons and their customizations to see how they behave both in and out of their intended element/range. One of the biggest failings of PS1 was the fact that for any given setting there was usually just one weapon type that dominated all others. Hopefully PS2 will be less about "what you have" and more about "how well you use what you happen to have on hand" (insert lame sexual joke here)
Testing the Mag to see exactly how necessary it is for the request in my sig to come to pass. To see if a solo Mag can hold its own in different scenarios, and to see how the Lightning it turn might need to be designed/changed to be an effective tank killer to deal each of the 3 MBT's
