i think that if u kill ur teammate by accident, the person that got killed has a screen pop up asking if u want to give them greif points or forgive them.. i think it would be better then just geting then for no reason

not a bad idea but it will interfear with action, and beside just learn how to aim and it shouldnt be to much problem ;)

Too much trouble, just watch where you fire. BTW culkid your sig is going to get axed by sigbot. A width of 600 is a bit too big.

i really like that idea. I think that you could get a pop up, and you could ignore it till you pressed a certain button, like p or something. You could also have a setting where you automatically give them points when the incident happens, so that it wouldn't interear with the action :0).

Its one thing to learn how to aim its another if someone walks into your fire, walks on top of a gernade you just threw since he is rushing blindly, ect.

Anyone recognize my avatar? harharhar, if you do, then the mayor-employee button could be what he's searchin for, but seriously, the grief points go away over time. If soemone steps in your line of fire, you tell em to watch their step and after a while your clean again on grief.

Yeah it sounds pretty good, but it would be annoying if it came up during combat.

Personally, I think the grief system is ok. It should encourage players to have some fire discipline, which helps with ammo consumption and overall makes for more effective squads.

Psh. Popups? The ability to -forgive- someone? Why in the -world- would you want to be able to forgive someone? If they know which end of the gun the bullets come out of, and they aren't playing the game with a [censored] gamepad, they shouldn't be hitting you. Period. Not for testing (that's what VR is for) and not for fun and games.

Usually in a 'particular' MMOG I'm 'playing' (I can't talk about it, hint hint, but it's not Planetside), anyone that even -attacks- me usually gets nuked into the ground, I don't care if they're my best friend, or someone who's just in the group. With the ability to do that in this game relatively gone (i.e., I'd get Griefed if I did that), my only other option is to let them rack up the grief points.

Plus it saves on the idiotic spray-n-pray of other FPSes. I hate those guys.

Doesn't bother me, the way it is..

Grief points are not gained by damageing members of your own squad, so just be careful about who you let into your squad and you should be OK.

In RtCW you get the option to complain - its not interruptive so you carry on playing and hit the key if you can... also if you ignore it it goes away

Maybe we should have the same.... press F1 if you want the person to have grief points... F2 if you accept its an accident.....

It works well in RtCW

Yeah Yeah i know i talk about RtCW too much but hell i have played it since the demo was out and run a clan for it so its ingrained in my poor old head

I think that you should get grief points for accidental shots. If i was a griefer in your system i would shoot you untill low hp and then stop to avoid all penalties. So i say a greif point for each point of armor and hp you take off. But if your killed, the person who dies should get a pop up window to forgive or to punish and double the points. Still take out griefers, but you can forgive after an accident.

TBH if people want to f**k up others fun then they will find a way to do it....

I just hope we dont get all that crap on PS - have got sick of it in Wolf till we got our own server and i could ban and kick them...

I agree with the Pop Up thing.

Of course it doesn't have to be a over-mouse pop-up to annoy you during combat. But a window could open on the side or something... with a yes/no option to penalise disruptive players.

The most comon thing is someone running in front of your fire or walking on a grenade you've just thrown... it happens. And most of the time, you can't really do anything about it.. you are in the middle of a war/battle. Also, other problem is, unlike real war.. usually in this game (from screenshots so far) people are all around everyone.. (the side-walk technique...) so its a big mess. Everyone gets splash damage from everybody's 'Nades and so.

NO I DIDNT MEAN DURING COMBAT!! i meant when u die, it takes anywhere from 20 seconds or more, during that time the window could pop up.. it doesnt bother u then
