I have been thinking of creating an mITX gaming rig. Does the smaller form factor of the motherboard sacrifice features that would otherwise increase performance in games and overclocking?

They're usually not the best overclockers. The voltage control to the CPU tends to not be as robust as a board made for OC'ing.
The length of your graphics card is something to be aware of. The bigger ones don't always fit into tiny cases.
Cooling is also good to think about. Depending on the CPU/GPU, it might automatically slow down when the temperature gets close to being dangerously hot.

If you don't care about the nitpicking, OC to the last megahurtz, everything for one frame crazy, there's nothing vastly different about any motherboard that uses the same chipsets.
You get less stuff because of the space...but I certainly don't use all the features of my big board, hardly anyone does.

That board will likely be the one to get for ITX system. Probably won't see the launch till April though.
