So, the gameplay videos are great and really exciting; my phone is getting blown up with tweets. I'm really excited for this game, but it's clear that we have a ways to wait before we can jump in on the action.

But my question is: is this all we're seeing of Planetside 2 at GDC? Are we getting more screen shots and interviews, and possibly more gameplay videos? (Doubtful)

There's still practically a week left of GDC. I hope to see more of Planetside 2.

Hard to say - this is the only media event we were aware of. We will see more interviews come out of this particular event and possibly more screenshots but I think the major event has completed.

That's pretty much it for official previews and PS2-specific presentations by SOE. You'll see gaming press coverage throughout the week though, as outlets have time to process what they saw and write up/edit impression pieces and the like.

GDC is a conference for developers about how to make games. It's not a trade show like E3.

What happened to the days when there were conventions like Blizzcon is now, where it was a player thing. Players get to go in and get hands on with the games, talk to the devs, and see all of this =( I miss it. My girlfriend is basically begging me to take her to blizzcon, but I just... planetside... planetside is all I can think about...

The press can't even get hands on just yet. It's still a bit early it seems.

PAX and PAX East.

E3 is for devs to share with the press. GDC is for devs to share with other devs. PAX is for devs to share with the fans. Then there's GamesCom is E3/PAX for Europe.
