Allrighty

So a quick question to all ye gawds of the planetside knowledge type stuff

In T2 there was a pretty big, and rather Kewl Voice pack that you could DL and say fun and sarcastic things to people in game.

I think I read somewhere that PS will have a Voice pack sorta, not sure though, so anyone here up or down if this is gonna be in?

Just wondering!

They'll almost definitely have taunts 'n such.

If they have such a thing, it won't be a seperate download. It'll be part of the game.

I read in an inteview with Dave. There is an "extensive" voice chat system similar to t2.

But this is not CTF and the T2 system is missing a great deal of things it should have.

Will it exist? Yes, howver i highly doubt you will be able to change or add voices.

I don't think you can talk to the other team either. and heaven help them if there isn't a 'moon' emote.

The shortest answer I can give you:

Yes. You can use them. The game may even be Alt+Tab'able. The devs haven't stated whether they will make it possible, but I don't see why not?

If an enemy is close enough to hear a public voice macro, he will hear it.
If the enemy is close enough to see an emote, they will see the emote.

You saying there are multi-player games that don't have a chat?

Toontown doesn't, but then again it is aimed at little kids so they want to protect them as much as possible.

Anyhow, you CAN type whatever you want, however if you want to "say" something, as in voice that can be heard, you have to choose from a list of already implemented voice macros.
