View Full Version : Help with my Video Card (gForce4ti4200 64mb)

K, I got my Gforce4 and install it.But when the computer detects the a unknown monitor and a plug and play monitor.So now when i when i go to chnage the resolution it only goes up to 1020*780 on my plug and play monitor. but i can switch to the unknow monitor and it goes to full resolution but i cant use the setting for the unknown monitorit just wont work. I tryed to uninstall and reinstall but it keeps picking up the default monitor..anyone cant help me with this?

Go to the website of the company that makes your monitor, and download the drivers for your specific monitor.

(this driver is different and seperate from the driver for your graphics card).

Then you will update the unknown monitor's driver with the driver that you just downloaded.

This should fix your problem.

let me know how it goes and if this gives you problems.

ok i did it but that unknown monitor is still there and i can still only go up to 1240*780...should i try something else i went in tosafe mode and got of rid of the default monitors i saw there and left the theone that had my monitor there.....this is geting me mad now :mad:

Were you able to use 1240x780 in 32 bit mode with your last vid card?

Did you install new detonator drivers for your video card? You have to do that or else the default ones wont let you change your resolution much...

ok, i just found out this..PNY made my video card the card is use for dual monitors..cant figure out how to disable the other monitor though =(
