My brother isn't very interested in PS. One of the reasons is the overly cluttered HUD. I know that the compass can be reduced, but can the chat window become smaller?

I don't mind it. It IS a MMOG and needs chat windows and such. From the looks of it everything is resizable

i will say you can definitely reduce the size of the chat window. that is another one of those basics for mmos and you can expect it here regardless if they've stated officially.

Also, the chat window is mostly transparent so it won't bother me too much

Almost every game I've played has resizable windows. I bet PS will be the same.

Besides, if you play in 1600x1200, I can guarantee that hud is a lot smaller.

Wow, I like the new version of the HUD a lot better than the old one. It kinda reminds me of UT a bit, with the weapons shown across the bottom. It definatly adds more space to see what's going on.

I prefer the new one too, the old one look cluttered, for some reason I didn't particulary like it.

I dont really like the one across the bottom I like to have the entire bottom open ill put mine across the side if i can

All he wants is health, ammo, and *some* inventory. The compass is a no-no. Even when hidden, it's pushing it for him. The chat window tips it over. Hamma, can you make the chat window smaller?

Hamma can not answer any questions he learns the answers to in beta, as that violates the NDA. Try again :thumbsup:

My opinion though, is yes. I haven't played a MMORPG that hasn't had a resizable chat window.
