Cool Image. Looking forward to massed armies clashing here. The overgrown look gives it a great feel imo.

It's cool. Pro-tip: Edit your original post to include the tweet content as well as the link to the tweet! :D

Also, the image almost looks like an artist rendering.. I wonder if it is actually from in-game.

Hi Arclegger,
there's been quite a lot of comment today about the quality and perspective of images that have been posted. Can you say if this is an in-game shot or a concept?

thx

... Is that really the most productive way to spend your work time? I hear Beta will come faster if you help the animation department.

The Dev activity on the boards today is amazingly high. And T-Ray has time to tweet about going to see Avengers Assemble (great film, btw). And Higby was tweeting about an internal review that went really well.

My conclusion is therefore that the game is ready to roll for Beta and we can expect to start to see invites in the next few days.

Woooooohooooo!!! :groovy::groovy::groovy::groovy::groovy::groovy:

Well... We know the bio-lab is done to some extent. We have seen images of it. So they could just be showing us old stuff that they have had around for a while to keep us excited while they get ready to launch beta tomorrow.

Anyway, why does the inside of a bioloab look all uncared for and rundown??

Anyway, why does the inside of a bioloab look all uncared for and rundown??

Because the only people left on the planet have guns and are too busy shooting at each other to cut the grass?

The actual inner working of the facility is automated, one assumes :)

Because maya-esque environment are just awesome ? I guess it may represent the kind of untouched environment of what the biolab should be, a preserved part of earth.

so whats a biodome in PS?

In PS1 it's a base that gave your team advantages in terms of a health boost (maybe others, I forget now) and you could change your implants there.

Haven't seen details for PS2 yet.

I looked hard for a pic of the "locked" vault door in the LLU room of the bio-lab. Couldn't find one.

I think it's safe to say that the population of non-military personnel remaining on Auraxis is minimal to none?

Bio-Dome = varied experiments, some of which may include warping the space-time continuum, making the most plausible explanation...

*sigh*

Is it time to mow the frigging grass AGAIN? I thought it was the NC's turn!

I hope that's not an example of the kind of "incentives" we get when we take a base.....Oh right, that'll be OUR turn to wash the patio, will it?

Don't blow the water reservoir! Then we wont be able to water the plants after we mow the grass once this base is ours!

It would be a beautiful easter egg if we got to push lawn mowers around inside bio-domes and turn on sprinklers.

We could always pretend the sprinklers were the anti-flame thrower protection for the base

And we all know that "mowing" is the fastest way to XP, especially now the magrider goes as fast backwards as forwards....catch all those stinky NC a-creeping up behind us.

I am getting this weird Red vs Blue vibe here... I can just see me as Donut, mowing the lawn in BioDome, as the TR and NC hordes come roaring in.

"AW, COME ON. My CR5 is gonna be all over my arse if I don't get this done before dinner!"

I think when Planetside 2 comes out somebody will become famous for making a red vs blue vs purple webshow, I can see it already.

Funnily enough back when RvB first came out several friends and I started working on a similar show for PS utilizing the test server. Never happened though, we lacked the resources and tools.

Because beta hasn't opened, there are no dead TR & NC bodies on the ground to sun starve the grass....yet.

Dude, that base interior is incredible! I definitely think we've only seen the tip of the iceberg as far as the sheer amount of cool concepts and world designs PS2 will boast. One of my most anticipated things is the rest of the base interiors, bunkers, towers, and bridges, etc. Not to mention the other continents... I can't wait.
