Hi there folks. I'm new-ish around these parts and I come mostly from the RTS side of things. Before I saw the GDC footage my most frequented webpage was Teamliquid.net. If you haven't been there, definitely go check it out, because it's the hub of the Starcraft II and Brood War scene outside of South Korea.

Teamliquid was a smaller site before the announcement of SC2, not unlike PSU. Beginning in 2010 the membership skyrocketed and Teamliquid became a phenomenon. As PS2 moves along in development, PSU will start seeing a lot more traffic. Moreover, new places will probably come up trying to create a hub for the community. Teamliquid changed a lot in those two years. A lot of the old members resented the influx of new voices, along with the death of BW. PSU could potentially go in the same direction...

What I want to know is what the staff here vision for PSU? Do you welcome the high traffic, or value a smaller, tightly knit community of people who spent a lot of time together in PS1? Are you preparing for high traffic? If you welcome it, what improvements do you plan for the site, etc? What changes and sacrifices would have to be made?

Honestly we are taking it as it comes. I can easily adapt for additional traffic if it comes our way. I've always let the community live and grow as it saw fit and honestly our traffic will probably go down once official forums launch for the game and its' released.

We've been around for 10 years coming up in October or September and we have been huge at times and dead at others. So ultimately we will see what happens and where the community decides to take us.

Aside from that we plan to provide some unique features and some stat tracking here on the site so that will help as well. Our wiki will also be the main PlanetSide 2 wiki.

I've compared PSU to Teamliquid a few times.

Personally I hope the site gets some of the similar features such as a list of streamers and featured streamers.
