See the bottom center? Mosquitos have afterburners. :D I don't believe this has ever been noted, or seen before, so I am pointing it out.

OFN. Afterburners have existed since the start almost. I remember reading about it in Nov.

Aye, I am not sure but I think all aircraft might have them, but yes your right skeeters do have them for sure.

I for one have never seen or heard of this, and theres not much in this game i dont know about.
So, if aircraft have afterburners, do ground vechs get some sort of boost? Id assume not, but could be fun anyway.

I just skimmed that thread, totally missed that. Obviously so did a few other people since they responded to this one ;)

All aircraft look like they have afterburners... check out the screens of external views of a Galaxy at the bottom (like this one: http://www.planetside-universe.com/media/viewer.php?img_id=464 ). Am I wrong?
[edit: oops, I meant to link to the previous screen]

Well, i missed out. i started following planetside in mid december, so i must have missed this. so, heres what i've gathered:
Afterburn is a feature on aircraft and functions as a turboboost of sorts.
thats about it. anyone care to correct me?
I'm pretty sure you are correct, Sando.
I don't think it will work exactly like the Tribes 2 version of afterburner, but probably very close to it. I think that in PS shield and afterburner energy will be separate.
