Quick question concerning PS1 Sub and PS2 Beta

Hopefully this is a common question that has a quick answer:

I had played PS1 ages ago when it came out and don't remember any of that account's information (I was 14 at the time, parents creditcard, etc). If I were to right this moment go and sub PS1, would that guarantee me a BETA key for PS2, or was that just a rumor someones started?

You had to have a PlanetSide account before (insert date here, I forgot it) to get the "veteran beta access." I don't remember where I read this.

If you're signed up to PS2 Beta and have played (and paid for, i.e. no reserve accounts iirc) PS1 at any point in the past then you're on an equal footing.

No need to sub up.

The other alternative to be on that footing was to get one of the PC Gamer keys.

Just for kicks, how does one set up a sub? I go to the Sony Station website: https://account.station.sony.com Then sign in. In the Game Pass Info tab, Planet Side doesn't even appear. Nothing on their website either.

Downloaded the client already. It tells me I need to set up a sub, and provides a link. The link takes me to the Game Pass tab, which as stated does not contain Planet Side! What to do?

Edit2: more seriously, you can sign up for beta: on www.planetside2.com
It does not give out a beta key, though...
(no PC gamer magazines in Europe either :( )

Well, go here (http://www.soe.com/gamepass/) and scroll to the bottom, PS1 should be there, just above the "Get Your Pass" button.

If it doesn't show up I'm not sure how to help :P
