This may be completely inconsequential to everyone else, but this is the first time I have seen a ps2 ad randomly show up (unless it has to do with my cookies).

I have to go with him on this. Pics or it was caused by a Planetside 2 withdraw symptoms.

If it was an "ad choice" spot then it was your cookies. I saw the same thing.

There was a guy who wrote a PS2 article on cracked recently...

Yeah it is the same ad choice spot Greeniegriz, but still I think its the first time I have even seen a ps2 ad on just about any site not directly related to ps2 or soe.

You are using Internet Explorer? That is your first and only problem.
Get something better. Like Chrome or Firefox. Even using pigeons to send/receive information is better than Internet Explorer.

The first thing i do when i format my PC, is use IE. To get Chrome.
If i use IE for more than four seconds, my face has a pretty good chance to literally explode.
On topic, that is pretty sick. :)
BETA soon folks. Mark my ignorant words.

Planetside advertisements everywhere.... how will I survive not having beta with all these showy ads?!
Pretty terrible ad if you ask me. A bunch of goofy looking dudes? Who would play that?

Yeah it is goofy, but they'll be working on it I'm sure, who knows what they'll pop up soon. It's just the first ad release.

I've never used adblock. Ads just don't really bother me - companies have to make money somehow. ;)

I dunno Hamma, I actually think ABP is a completely necessity. There is no reason people should be subjected to gyrating boob banners every time they try to go about the simplest of tasks on the internet. So distracting...
Do you not get credit for us visiting PSU if we use an ad blocker?
and guys, re: IE  does anyone actually use it for anything other than downloading another browser?!
I lose my shit every time Microsoft releases some shitty piece of software that i need to use for work, but doesn't fucking work properly with any browser but IE. I assume they are doing it on purpose.

Did your grandchildren not set your computer up for you? Next time they're over for the holidays, have the eldest take a look at it.

I disable ad blocker on sites which have proven to have quality content.

Me neither, obviously in the dark days of popups, popunders and general abuse of non existent browser security then something needed to be done... but today? not so much.
I use ads on some sites because as well as making a little bit (and I mean a little bit, pays for some hosting!) it just adds a bit of colour and changery to things :)
People get all up in arms about cookies and stuff - but i'd much rather see well a well targetted internet ad for something I might actually be interested in than a generic TV ad for something I already have/know about/don't need/have decided I don't want!

As long as they're all PS2 ads, I'd exempt PSU :)

If it's a site I want to support I throw it on the white list, but for random browsing I couldn't live without Adblock. I just turned it off for a few minutes, it's like stepping into a different dimension... a deeply disturbing one.
