Honestly TR would be the only empire I would even loosely consider switching to, just because I've always had good experiences with TR (playing with them and fighting against them), and I like some of their armor/weapon/vehicle designs in PS2.

But that doesn't mean I'd switch to them, unless for some reason I couldn't stand playing as the VS in PS2. But what, am I going to give up hover tanks, and aircraft that spit in Newtons face? Not likely :D

Anything but NC though. Seriously, fuck the NC. Never liked them in PS1 and they got hit with a devastating blow from the ugly stick in PS2. :lol:

I thought I'd stick with VS through thick and thin, but I've been disappointed with them so far.

I'll ultimately go with whichever one I like the aesthetics of the best. Still debating which one that is, but TR has impressed me the most. The NC and VS just have more stuff that looks a bit...lame.

I'm NC hard core. I tried some TR and VS before on other servers like Heaven did, but really NC is the one that is really me.

Not to mention we get a LOT of the old PS1 common pool weapons AND we get the Reaver. NC hands down for me, it'll be like PS1 all over again if not more!

I played TR and my buddy played NC sadly I will be switching to NC so we can be on the same side. Call me a trader. TR to NC is the most common switch imo just for the fact that the TR have corrupt ways (i switched after I read the backstories) I feel like its in my better interest too join the NC.

I played TR because the NC had both other factions outnumbered 2 - 1 on Johari. Combined.

Jackhammers and lameness of the easiest faction to play back in the day was a major pull for scrubs.

Fortunately, I think PS2 will be considerably more balanced, with a greater variety of options for play styles within each faction. No longer will the NC be the lol one shot so much skill faction (ages before UMAD became common usage). So I will probably play whichever faction has the lowest population on my server.

The NC is run by corporations. The NC would have just as much corruption, if not more, were they to succeed.

The Vanu are the most selfless, but they're also potentially leading mankind toward ruin through irresponsible acceptance and use of new technologies that we barely understand. Not to mention the cult like devotion to Vanu, who may tun out to be not so great a dude.

However, I will often join the least populated side when a large discrepancy in population is there.

Was TR way back when. Though after seeing the footage of the NC guys... Its hard for me to look away at that. Conflicted with old pride and new aesthetic wants. May just end up up flipping a coin.

We were Vanu first time around for no other reason than the major for the section picked purple... seriously, i have no idea why he picked it, but it set us on course for the decade. We'll be vanu again. And loving it, although, after a certain amount of time, we will eventually try out all the factions I'm guessing.

In PS1 I played TR, but I guess I was never fortunate enough to feel any sort of allegiance to my empire. I enjoyed jumping around to try out other factions, and only stayed TR because I found an outfit I loved (KAAOS). I will probably end up going VS this time around simply due to the fact that the friends I have shown the game to seem to gravitate more towards the VS style of play, but I suspect I will still try the other empires.

I started as TR, fell to the NC, and realized my heart wasn't in it. It wasn't until I joined with the VS that I realized that I was home. Vanu for life! (Now to find a solid outfit for PS2)

I remember reading the opening blurb on each Empire all those years ago, and being instantly drawn to the VS.
I've dabbled with the TR and NC over the years, but never seriously.

Playing as another Empire always feels like you're cheating on your wife.

I too have dabbled with the TR and NC. Mostly I have "dabbled" them on the pointy end of my Lasher or Lancer.
