How to spam missions in the PS2 app without annoying people: Go into account settings select the planetside 2 app and select "Only Me" under the posts on your behalf part. You can spam all the mission posts you want and not annoy other people.

I think we're all ok with it, as long as the Vets get something a little better than a gold plated pistol.

If you're giving stuff like that to people who haven't played the game, i hope you'd give us something better as we've been supporting it since 03'.

If you're going to start handing stuff out to people before the game has started, please treat your longest fans/supporters better than the randoms that see the game on facebook.

Implants are consumable in PS2. It just means that players get an extra implant at start of game, on par with a player just getting one extra grenade at the start of PS2. Nothing big at all.

I love Planetside 2 and I've been trying to sell the game to as many people as possible. Friends, family, forums. But I don't use Facebook out of principle and it sucks that I'm going to miss out on rewards for it. That works for the share screenshot/video stuff etc. but not for "Invite 10 Facebook friends to the PlanetSide 2 Beta!"

So unless you want to spam your friends (or create fake ones...) you cannot do any tiers.

Not sure about the effectiveness of this app for SOE (economically speaking). They're giving 5 $, even 20 $. Supposing the game doesn't need more to be spent on to be enjoyable, that means I won't spend a single cent. It nonetheless seems like a marketing strategy to make us realise the benefit of purchasable content. I'm waiting to see if this content will offer any kind of superiority or affect the game experience. If it is, even with 25 $ in the purse, I won't play.

There are three tiers of rewards based on your completion of the missions in each category. Rewards will be granted to your SOE Station Account upon official launch of the highly anticipated MMOFPS PlanetSide 2. Rewards are stackable, so if you complete all missions for each tier, you can earn ALL reward sets!

Based on the way it's worded, it sounds like each tier is split up depending on progress, for example if you did 1/3 of the T3 "missions" you would get the gold weapons, 2/3 you get the tickets, and do 100% you get the station cash. Is this correct or is it an all or nothing approach, because that would be pretty lame.

I've never used facebook, I hate facebook, I was hoping to be able to go my entire life without ever using facebook, but I love PlanetSide more than any other game, and so I broke down and made an account, but I have no intentions of trying to find 50 random people to recruit to an outfit just to get a gold plated mag-shot.

Facebook may be about spamming friends or people who already know you but with a name easy to identify, isolate and locate, I just try to avoid the spammy stuff as much as possible.

Randomly working at best. Sometimes i can share 3 photos, then it stops working for hours, i click share on facebook, but nothing happens.
I sent about 7-8 invites, but none of them got counted. One of my friends chose to answer it, so now i got 0 invites sent and 1 recruited guy.
The like page achievement is flipping about every reload, sometimes it's on, sometimes it's off. :(

I love Planetside 2 and I've been trying to sell the game to as many people as possible. Friends, family, forums. But I don't use Facebook out of principle and it sucks that I'm going to miss out on rewards for it. As someone else said though it's a smart marketing move on their part so I can't really fault them for it.

Naturally, I can't see any of what the facebook app allows you to do, or wants you to do for marketing purposes or for "rewards," although someone mentioned registering character names. If that IS the only way to register character names pre-beta, that is a serious problem IMHO.

As a side note, I don't use google+ either. I tried it for a month or two, and found it mostly useless (I almost never used it). I reverted my account back to regular google when Google started banning google accounts for not using their real names on google+. I see no reason to start using Google+ again, or to start using Facebook, and this marketing campaign does nothing to change that (it only annoys me further).

I thought I'd give people an update from FirstPost Studios. Currently they are repro'ing the sharing problem to try and identify what's going on, though it looks to be a privacy/permissions concern with Google (i.e. the company will let ordinary people share material hosted by them, but not via a Facebook app)...

As it stands there is yet to be a workaround for this issue, so unless we hear some good news, they might have to remove those missions and come up with some alternative ideas to support ingame incentives.

I've got some problems with the [Recruitment Drive] mission (first tier).
- I've got 10 recruits in my outfit
- All have made a character
- More than 10 invites sent according to my stats
But the mission is still greyed out.

I tried this I found on another forum: "Go to the missions, click on the Recruitment Drive Mission (where it says invite 10 people to beta)
It should take you to a page with a list of your friends (it doesn't). Pick a hommie. Open up his FB profile in a different tab.
Now all you do is go to his name on the list, click recruit, this will share a "Sign up for Beta" message on his wall."
But without success.

As for that mission...that is weird. I know when the app was first released it was recruit 1 person and then it got changed. Tweet Smed or Higby maybe?
