What do you think is it going to be a surprise closed beta tomorrow, e3, or do you think they will hold on to it till they get board and all the public are on their knees groveling, begging for it?

It's not happening during E3... an announcement, maybe, but it's not going to start during the show.

Thursday at 1500ish (PST) is when I believe it will be showcased. Maybe a beta date during that presentation?

My guess.. within two weeks of e3. Gives the team time to rest after the show and come back ready for the giant task of starting up and monitoring beta.

That I would like very much to see... The time I gave came from a site I found earlier when I was at home for lunch, but I can't remember what it was. I'm back at work now though so all the gaming sites are blocked... Except for this one.

Could have been one of those Gamespot-like websites. It had the schedule of press conferences and a list of games with times and dates down the right side of the screen.

At this point, they're not inviting new players to the beta until after E3. You don't set up playable booths at the event itself and then open yourself up to untested stability issues by increasing the numbers during the event.

If they were going to have us playing during E3, we would've been playing last week or the week before, to give them time to iron things out.

The one exception I can think of is if they've got two completely independent server infrastructures, so they could open the public beta during the show without threatening the stability of the E3 demo stations. But I doubt that's happening.
