Will there be prone?
It is still being considered. It was mentioned that while internally testing prone might work, it might have a negative impact when there are thousands of players. Therefore it is possible that it will be tested during beta.

Are there urban areas?
Yes, outposts are the areas with an urban feel in PS2, i.e. closely packed buildings with roads going through them.

What kind of defensive unlocks does the galaxy have besides additional armor?
-speed
-something vague about defense when deployed.

Tell more about the layout of bases
All types of bases have their core structure, but the surroundings differ from each other, even if it is the same type of base.

Could you tell us more about the mission system
main objective of the mission system is to point new players to where to go. It will be shown on the HUD and map so they know where to go. Player missions will be implemented later where players can customize their own missions.

Any max specific abilities?
Not currently. This might change during the beta where they decide which empire gets which certain abilities.

Will there be a generator in PS2? Or any other capture points?
Yes, they are considering second objective missions. (weird answer, but this is what was said)

Will there be an option to have alternating fire mode for dual wielding maxes?
There might be a cert to give you this ability

Will there be different kind of weather effects?
Some weather elements will not be able to be turned off, because they play an important role in PS2, on the contrary to PS1 where most effects could be turned off in the settings.

Is there joystick support
For sure. They have been testing joysticks internally and higby is apparently a big fan of joysticks

Can we swim?
We'll see.

How does the medic work?
They will have AOE heal where they drop a shield. Everyone in the shield will get healed.


I like Higby more, he answers questions more clearly.

Also mention that every base has a unique interior, so every base feels different on the inside.

yeah I'd like to see more close up action of what the medic abilities animations actually look like including this

been hard ot see much medic stuff on stream so far everyone is max or LA's etc.

Interesting, I guess generators and other "secondary" objectives (if there are others?) could have other effects on a base. Destroying a gen could disable turrets, among other things (vehicle spawners, jump pads?)

I'm pretty sure he didn't answer TB's question of whether there would be Gens, I think currently there are not. He was answering the parallel question about secondary objectives IMO.

I don't really know more about how they operate unfortunately. I think mistar Higby is rather indisposed at the moment. :)

Yea they were around a variety of locations, both outside and inside. I don't believe they had a function yet but you could blow them up.

Sounds like T2 style generators... they're probably linked to different systems.

i tough it could be cool to blow generator and make base defense and ligth go off :P
