God I love the effect on how vehicles spawn in this game, it makes me think that the whole thing is The Matrix lol.

I do hate how you die in an Aircraft and there is barely any feedback letting you know that you died. Sort of looks like you're jumping out of the aircraft and it's like "how did I die?" or "huh what's going on?"...

They need to work on that abit and make the death feel more satisfying.

Planetside2 is real, we are the ones living in the matrix.

First time Ive seen the Market Place, looking good. Plus I like the end footage of Part 2 where its dawn and you see all the silhouettes of the aircraft hovering above the base with tracer fire everywhere, just awesome!

"In the final game, the day/night cycle will probably be about 3-4 hours"

Nice. I'm partial to 5 myself, but 3.5 hours would be almost equally acceptable for me. Still a solid hour of darkness to make use of night tactics.

I would also float towards 5 hours IMO. 3-4 sounds a tad short, but it's still up the right alley.

It's not even that 3-4 sounds too short that bugs me; it's that either 3 or 4 will evenly divide a 24-hour day, so if dawn is at 8pm, it'll *always* be at 8pm, no matter what day or week I log in.

Could get boring for people with shorter play availability on a strict and regular schedule.

5 hour cycles avoid that danger by rotating through the day, day by day.

yes, that too. Deffo needs to be an odd number, for which 3 is IMO too short

That's why I'm taking 3-4 and putting it in the middle with three and a half hours.

But I still like 5 better. It doesn't divide into a 7 day week evenly either. Although 3.5 hours would be short enough that it shouldn't be that big a deal if it's the same time of day every saturday for example. It only would be a problem with longer numbers like 7 hour days.

I recall hearing that each continent would be in its own time zone of sorts so they would all be experiencing different times of day. Assuming thats true, even if you have a short time to play, you can go somewhere to play during the time of day that you currently feel like fighting in. :)

Time should be adjustable guys....meaning if I play at 6 pm.....it shouldn't always be the same time of day in game because some days are darker and other days are lighter.

Like in real life, time doesn't stay the same because of the sun and what not (Im no time expert)

So IMO you shouldn't worry, Im sure they will put that in.....some equation that fixes that.

As for how long the day and night cycle should be....IMO, it should be like 15 hours.

I want battles that are in the dark to last a while...I want n00n fights to last a a while...I want sunset fights to last a while...

While I disagree with the the thought of having a "no friendly fire" server, I wouldn't mind seeing different servers have different day lengths.

1 hr
5 hrs
11 hrs
23 hrs

But really, I think the different continents being in different time zones will solve a lot of the problems.

Spotted this.. 10 hours left. Is that a special offer or.. when you buy a weapon you can only use it for 24 hours and it vanishes?

It's a copy paste of the League Shop, so it's a daily sale.

League of Legends.

And it even says "DAILY SALE", so the question really answered itself.
