I was looking at the vehicle info screen from planet side shuttle when I noticed something . Hmmm ? I saw a Hart , and if you look close there are 6 triangles on ones side of the Hart , this would make a total of 12 triangles . Then you look at the drop pod screen pictures . The drop pod triangle top is the same shade and style as the ones on the side of the Hart . The Hart carries 12 drop pods ???

The HART is not a vehicle in the same way the Galaxy is, for example. It is more of a virtual vehicle. It will not appear over the continent for enemies to shoot down. Characters also do not occupy slots in it, like they would the galaxy. So, there is no real limit to how many players can enter one.

HARTS....I thought you could shoot them down as they fell? or do you have to wait till they hit the ground and then blast the peeps?

yes you have to wait for people to get out (I'm pretty sure).
I remember some dev say it was fun to watch the sky for drop pods, and then shoot people just as the exit.

And I'm pretty sure you don't go down with a "HART", I think HART is the name of the system as a whole or maybe just the ship bringing the pods.

HART == Ship that goes up with pods in it.

Drop pod == Pod that comes down with one person in it. Comes from a HART, which, after launch, is never seen (as it's in low planetary orbit).

Looky looky, my 1st post.. I am Raneados... your new Lord and Master.

Anyway... when drop pods hit the ground, they burst open on all 4 sides, making you run like a piggy for the nearest cover.

No Drop pods used as cover.

-Just to add.

what about the HART is RAPID????

Destroyeron

It falls fast...

so, falling means it's rapid??? thats kinda odd, whereas re-entry makes sense. and HEAVILY ARMORED seems good, but so does high altitude...

The HART blows (intentionaly*). I seriuosly reccomend getting a vehicle cert or playing with people who have multiperson vehicle certs.

Having to wait 15 minutes before you can get into battle is not fun.

* when the HART could drop once a minute it took away from the geographic warfare aspect of the game. There was no reason to use the warpgates because you could just recall to sanctuary and warp anywhere.

In Recap: get a vehicle cert, and don't rely on the HART.

Why would something not being shot at need armor? I can understand the drop pods being armored, but the enemy will never seen another empires HART. It's in low orbit, the drop pods are the only thing you'll see.

it looks heavily armored. and besides, it must get hot coming back down, like those fires and stuff, maybe thats why they need armor.

The HART is kinda useless now, with a 15 minute wait, but the annoyance of not knowing where other pods are going is even worse. You basically drop not knowing what the situation is, and not knowing if there are any other pods coming in nearby. It would be a lot more useful if other prospective drop sites showed up on the drop map, since you could theoretically have 5 or 6 pods coming down out to take a single base.
Just a thought

Thats why my outfit uses voice comms. We all load up on the HART and everyone drops around an enemy base, i.e. some north, some south, east, west and then we rush the defenses. Meanwhile our galaxy is deploying troops on the roof.

Voice comms are great if you use them effectively. The HART is fine as is.

HART= High Altitude Re-Entry Transport. Enter a HART for the first time, and read the window that pops up.

I like using the HART with my squad because it's cool as hell to see 10 pods coming down in the same area simultaneously. I love the HART. Although, I think the timer should be clipped to 10:00 or less. 15:00 just makes the HART pretty useless. You can go anywhere on the globe (provided you can fly a Mosquito or Reaver) in 15 minutes, no HART req'd. The only real purpose of the HART now since they upped the time is to use it as a transport (which is rare since usually it's accompanied by a long wait) or merely eye candy (The re-entry sequence is awesome :D). That's my 2.

Whoa, is the HART 15 Minutes after the player hits the Sanctuary, or is it a constant timer with intervals of 15? If it is the latter (I think it is, not sure, don't have Beta yet), then wouldn't it be somewhat useful if it had about a minute when you hit the sanctuary?
I think that one shouldn't rely too heavily on either the HART or any other Vehicle. Always have a backup plan...
