I want to see the target vehicle explode violently as the drop pod goes right through it and lands on the ground below.. The dropped soldier then steps out and has an optional custom "awesome pose" animation with raining debris all around him.

I was on the edge of my seat after the pod hit the Liberator and it was spinning out of control.

Will he make it? The suspense! Then he landed safely. :3

Haven't seen the footage but they did mention it. Obviously this will happen not so rarely - It would be nice that drop pod takes damage (gets destroyed) too otherwise it's pretty broken.

By the way it purposefully moved very slightly towards the target, that would seem likely.

Alternatively vindictive AIs controlling the drop-pod's thrusters, which could also be a fun mechanic.


EDIT: it's slightly hard to see in the video, but if you hold your finger over the centre of the drop-pod's reticule you see the drop pod does track downwards towards the liberator, away from the AMP station's tubes it's originally aimed at.

MORE IMPORTANTLY!!!!!!!!!! after he landed he stood on a Gal for a few seconds in the video. Does that mean that TECHNICALLY you could jump out of your air craft ontop of a friendly Gal. And heal it while it drops and guns? Exciting prospect if you ask me :D

point is it WASN'T a stunt but just a funny occurance that was great to see.

Not exactly sure what you two are arguing about. Pretty obvious that the guy steered the drop pod, that's irrefutable. Not sure how you mean "stunt", but it was certainly a funny occurrence.

It would be kind of cool if a whole squad could get in pods and once and rain down on a bunch of peeps chilling in a courtyard.

They have moved to hydrogen powered jets in PS2. That way while you kill thousands with carpet bombs you are also saving the environment.
