Overall a pretty glowing review of PS2. I didn't really care for the use of the term "set pieces" throughout since that brings up thoughts of very linear, scripted events in CoD-type games, but aside from that very positive.

HAH! The nearest MMOFPS to be released after Planetside 2 is like.. 2014.. Man people really don't like looking up things before they make articles >.> One article said that the NC tank was the fastest but had the weakest gun and the worst armor

I think firefall counts as MMOFPS but I'm pretty sure it's PVE focus, other than that I don't know of any new and relevant MMOFPS.

Firefall uses a third person view. Doesn't really qualify as an FPS IMO. Not the same feel at all.

Firefall is mainly an FPS you can switch to third person but if youre not corner checking or checking out your aesthetics god help you
I'm assuming he was lumping Planetside2 in with other F2P FPS. I've also read one comparing PS2 with MAG :bang:
You can actually switch between first-person and third-person view on the fly in Firefall.
As for the Destructoid article, I already called the guy on the "rapidly crowding" comment on the post itself.

honestly doesn't matter if there was a million mmofps games. look at league of legends, pretty much the moba game out of all because of the great support from riot and the community events. Community is pretty shitty but other than butt hurt players they have gained in notoriety since launch, hope PS2 can do the same.
Really sad how little attention Planetside 2 received from some of these clearly console biased websites, everyone knows who they are and it is just a travesty. Guarantee this game will need streamers and word of mouth to get all the people who would play.
