NC Announcer

I don't want to offend the NC voice actor, but that announcer sounds so weak, I want the Blood Eagles announcer from Tribes Ascend, "You can all die in battle because you're all dead to me!" Something more ragtag, rough, tough love, one of those old Sergeants that call their troops grunts, the way the NC is supposed to be. So far the best announcer is for the VS. But please make the NC announcer stronger. I don't feel motivated to attack another facility when I hear a little girls voice telling me that we've won.

I can live with it... you can probably turn down volume for individual things anyway.. :P But music is a HUGE part of a gaming experience tbh.. you don't notice it until you actually turn it off. I usually do turn it off.. but that's only cause I can't hear my buddies on TS if I have it i on...

TS has built in volume control that automatically turns down music/sounds whenever you or your team mates speak. If your using it right, you shouldn't have that problem.

I think we all have named Higby that more or less. Although, I am considering starting a Cult of the Clegg, with a downward pointed Galaxy as the symbol.

Don't expect to have any VS join that cult, for obvious reasons. I would love to hear Higby's voice every time the NC takes a facility, and T-Ray for the VS.

This isn't even bad, go watch the E3 trailer for Black Ops 2. Some games don't even hold your hand anymore, they literally pick you up and carry you through the action.

Prefer to have an option to turn off the voice and the on screen messages about the facility capture/defended states. Same with Xp numbers and such that pop up. The less I'm reminded I'm in a game the better I think it is.

Well you can turn the announcers off, but I like the rough militaristic announcers of the TR, and especially the VS, (the VS sounds like he's actually using a futuristic microphone), but the NC is so whiny, so weak, and not because she's a woman, but because her voice is just whiny. I would much rather have a stronger female character, like the one in TF2, or Diamond Sword from Tribes Ascend to some extent.

The TR and VS ones sounded good but I agree the NC one was kinda weak.

Of course I could be mixing him up with one of the SOE guys who was coordinating during the E3 demo.

But I'd rather turn it off anyways. I like the idea of music indicators as well, although those should be able to be played alongside the voice cues, and be turned off as well.

I still want Mr Higby with a deep voice as the announcer. And something more motivational than "We can still cut this out." or whatever that announcer said. Something like "Comon NC, were better than this." as a signal to push. "For liberty, for freedom!" as the victory and "You failed the New Conglomerate, return to base." as a losing announcement. I like it way better than saying "The Terran Republic defended the base." or "The Vanu Sovereignty has taken the base." You see the logo of the empire that won, why should they cram it in your face. I would like it much better if the announcer was saying it from your perspective.
