"...going to appeal to fps fans?"
"Well, it's not small scale. Not 12v12 or 64v64 or.."
NOT EXACT QUOTES

Sorry, only thing I learned from that interview is that the MMORPG-girl was way to hot for me to concentrate on the actual information.

Ab so looooot leee!
He is so articulate and passionate, which is inspiring even on a personal level. That's not to say that others at SOE are lesser to any degree, because there are so many great folks at SOE! Just giving T-Ray his proppers. :)
EDIT: Sorry for two posts in a row... got a bit excited there. :)

Interview seemed a little practiced from her point of view, but got a little better towards the end.
I spose PS2 is in the unique position to get retarded questions asked about it from both the hard-core MMORPG side and the hard-core FPS player side.
Wait, the FPS players don't ask questions.. they just "LOLHALOCLONE"

I think T-ray may of been struggling too.

I think it was the girl struggling, not T-Ray. She asked horrible questions, and T-Ray soldiered on and tried his best to give a good interview regardless.
Also, EPIC quote that should allay many people concerns like "not enough vehicles continents" etc:
Planetside 2 is an evolving game. It is never "done." It is always something that we can continue to make better, and if people give us feedback we can implement that feedback if it is for the betterment of the game.

Loved T-Ray's close... "I'm glad you got to ask questions too" :D
Nudge nudge, wink wink.

I think that when the game releases, 1 month into the game, Higby should announce how many outfits have made "Grand Poobah" and "Scrub" ranks within their outfit.

I enjoyed the interview. T-Ray was looking like a Boss. The girl wasn't bad on the eye's either.

 that girl.
TRay being awesome, as usual.
Actually one of the better interviewers the game has had. Even the crafting question seemed reasonable, from an outsider perspective. I feel like the interview made very clear what Planetside 2 was and wasn't, as an MMOFPS, being an FPS first and foremost.

Also, EPIC quote that should allay many people concerns like "not enough vehicles continents" etc:
She was an MMORPG player, and she seemed to just be asking questions without doing her homework. Asking about "crafting" and all that wouldn't make sense if you just knew a bit about the game. Rather than a reporter, she seemed like a random person off the E3 floor who never knew anything of Planetside even existing. She didn't know WHAT to ask cause she seemed to not know what she could ask.

I don't mind a few of those, as long as they are semi competent, albeit unknowledgeable about PS2. That outsider perspective is more valuable in some ways for players who have no idea what to expect from an MMOFPS.
Knowledgeable interviews like Q&A one Hamma gave to Higby are only really relevant to fans of the game, who either played the first game or have been reading up a lot on the sequel. Obviously a knowledgeable person could ask questions geared more towards general audiences as well, but again, I felt like this interview was pretty informative for an interviewer who didn't know anything about the game, although all due credit to TRay for being smooth and informative.

Good, but I wish we would have better questions. I guess we will have one of these....soon.
