Def. You guys out there makin this game are awesome. As soon as this game goes LIVE I'll check out the PS2 store. if theres any kind of Subscription model, I'll be signing up for it. I want you Devs to get your money and know that although there will be a lot of "moochers" You still have loyal fans that want to support your work! Keep at it guys and dont forget to sleep!

You work on planetside 2 all day, you watch planetside 1 in between breaks and then you interact with the community when you get back from work...

That is pure dedication to your fans. We are very grateful.

THIS IS NOT TRUE !!! I know for a fact ,that Higby has been cloned 5 times.I have seen 2 T-rays having lunch together.
So,when the devs sleep the clones take over.

I thought about it. Seemed cliche.

Also thought about using T-Ray but the photobomb pic was too perfect.

Anyway, the dev team DOES rock and and the communication is really a great change from most companies. As players we get tired of the silent monoliths that seem to only produce semi-annual statements that sound like they were copy-pasted right out of a Corperate Message Formatting How-To book.

You guys aren't just rewriting the book on how to build an FPS, you're also rewiting the book on how to build a community. Both achievements to be very proud of. Hopefully the rest of the industry is taking notes.

Alot of dev teams makes the mistake of having a "PR wall" between them and their community. This just makes them look undedicated and detached, even if they are dedicated. The absolute best thing a dev team can do is associate themselves with the people playing; share a beer or two, so to speak. That;s what turns f2p players into customers, because we know that the dev team is putting in huge amounts of work and are just damn decent folks. Ergo, they deserve some money in the pocket when the time comes...

Again, I'll say "VERY well done, PS2 guys. I've never seen a dev team so dedicated to it's community."

Certainly great to see that there's no PR wall between the devs and the players, I believe Planetside 2 has formed out to be such a stellar game already due to this interaction and openness towards the fans.

I've witnessed what PR walls can do to company-customer relations, and your opinion may vary, with the whole ME3 debacle and the way those PR guys waged literal war on customers asking for information.

I have no doubt Planetside 2 will be a complete success, and become an example of what happens when you both listen to your customers and fans as well as being true fans themselves.

I hope that no outside force will ever try to push you another way, executive meddling has done a lot of harm to many game companies already.

As someone who have been on the battlefield forums for quite a while and have seen how a company like DICE goes against everything their core audience wanted,just so they can steal COD players,i gotta tell you,you guys must REALLY apreciate the way ps2 devs threat their veterans.
I really respect them for that(even though i am not a ps1 veteran)and only wish more companies were like that.
