Instant Action

Anybody notice the reference to "Instant Action" in some of the new previews? Sounds like a good idea for the Rambo types who want to jump in and start fragging right away.

IMO instant action means 'spawn at sanctuary first, or go to the spawn nearest a battle?'

I believe it spawns you at the nearest spawning point to the nearest battle. So if your empire was attacking some base and they had an ams there, you would spawn at the ams.

I am pretty sure instant-action is something that will be used at HART facilities. It sounded like something you would do before you die, not after ;) If so, I bet it would just drop pod you to the nearest battle, or as close as it could get you.

you guys dont read enough...it spawns you next to or near to one of your allies that has been in battle. You basically spawn near or into a battle no matter where it is. In other words, it spawns you at a hot spot.

I'd like to add on to my last post....when you start up the game, before you enter into the world....you can choose to start at sanctuary...or skip all the cert crap and just use "instant action"

They do, it isn't quite "instant", but it is more so the fastest way to get to the action most likely. Also, the reason I don't think it is a respawn thing is because of the explanation of how choosing where to respawn works.

I can't find the quote, but somewhere it said you had a choice to either respawn at:
1. Nearest AMS
2. Nearest facility
3. Sanctuary
4. Bind point

No where in that is "next to the battle" ;)

i think its after u create ur character and choose your certs and everythning. Instead of waiting at sanctuary picking weps and vehicles and talking a warp it just spawns you with a basic gun and equipment near the most recent battle spawn point. Im not sure about this though

maybe its just my mmorpg backround but to me customizing my character is alot of fun. Thats why unless somehow they mess this up this game will be one of my all time favs, finally synergy between my 2 favorite genre.

"instant action" based on what kiwi has said; merely starts you somewhere other than the sanctuary. It's as if you are respawning, but without having died.
