Im sorry I dont Twitter so bear with me: Is it just me or do the Vanu "bullets" (rounds/projectiles/pulses) travel slower?

Shouldn't bullet speed varies by different weapon?

I dont really see this stat being needed or even have them varied. I never saw it posted in the tooltips and i dont want to see it where you have a system like in BF3 where many of the stats arent reported to new players (like spread and recoil).
That information should be in game. Or if not posted it should be constant across all guns.

Nothing about bullet speed has been reported as far as I know. I would imagine that all of the guns in the game (like assault rifles) fire at the same velocity. There isn't much reason to change that between factions, it would barely be noticeable. Thats what I think anyway :p

In the first Planetside, a lot of VS "bullets" traveled slower. Some traveled faster though, like the Magriders rail gun versus the other MBT's 150mm and 200mm cannons.
But in the footage of PS2 that we've seen, they haven't seemed particularly slower to me. All of the bullet speeds look faster than PS2 in general though, so if some VS weapons are a little slower, it won't be as big a difference as in the first game.

During the E3 live streams they spent a good 3-5 minutes talking about projectile speeds and that they are all affected by gravity.
From what I remember of the facts:
All weapons in the game have projectile drop.
There are no hitscan weapons in PS2.
The energy based weapons had less projectile drop than the munitions based weapons.
That is all I remember concrete 100%.
Cheers!

Lol, now I'm just imagining TR bullets traveling nearly instantaneously between gun and target, VS pew pews flying towards the target, and NC rounds floating lazily toward the target before it hits and gibs the enemy because that's what NC like to do. Or so they think :P
Myself, I don't think that there should be a noticeable difference in speed and I haven't noticed one while watching the E3 streams. But I'm not certain I'd really enjoy my pew pew laser gun shooting slower rounds since we already have to worry about damage reduction over distance.

i always laughed at this, in a REAL tank, a high explosive anti tank round (HEAT) which is incredibly old technology, travel somewhere around mach 2 i believe.
now the SABOT round, which is a dart made from depleted uranium, travels upwards of mach seven.
i just never understood the slow projectile speeds, especially since were in the future, and even WWII tanks had more projectile velocity.

A lot of things in PS1 were kind of silly. For taking a few steps backwards in some areas, I think PS2 is shaping up to fix a lot of PS1's mistakes.
