I will love anyone who can show me a UK site that does deals like this, forever. Anything more than a £3 reduction seems to qualify as insanity by retailers over here.

Can you make a paypal account?
If you made one and pay through paypal and ship to yourself in the UK, I believe paypal auto translates currency, then pay a few extra bucks for shipping. Pretty sure it'd still be a great deal compared to prices you've mentioned.

Newegg doesn't ship. I'm not sure about Micro Centre.

Ah yes, that's the sole exception, I did see that. I haven't seen a deal like that at Scan before, but if they start doing stuff like that regularly, that'd be very cool.

i'd love to drop in a ssd but i kinda been holding out til i can drop in a 200gig ssd for around $100. i may break down though during beta and get a 100gig or so one. i'm running an amd bulldozer atm with 16 gig of ram and 2 1-TB seagate 7200s i dual boot win8 with ubuntu 12. i'd be in heaven if ps2 ran off ubuntu 12 though. thing would absolutely scream without a bunch of background windows crap running. i figured ram and video with at least a quad core will probably be the most vital things to have in a game rig though. the bulldozer is overkill but i have never had it blue screen or need a reboot since i've been running it with win7, win8, ubuntu 10.10 or ubuntu 12 so far. it's rock solid stable.
