I've got this thingy I'm wondering about concerning Technology Plants.

When your empire does not control a technology plant on the continent you're in, do you still have access to your empire specific vehicles and weapons?

I'm thinking in regards to certain weapons. Why would an NC soldier ever use a Fletchet/Sweeper when he has access to a Jackhammer, and why would he use a Decimator when he has access to the uber cool Pheonix.

Especially considering the TR Strker. It is currently rated as a High Damage weapon, it locks on and has some sort of magazine size. The Deci is also a High damage weapon, but is a disposable one shot canister. Why use it?

Well, the certs are different so they require different things. BTW, the Decimator is the MOST powerful AV rocket. And, certs are different on different things. Also, other empires might wait some sort of shotgun.

An equipment terminal is an equipment terminal, no matter where you are.

It only locks onto armored units, such as vehicles and MAXs. And no one, with the exception of the the beta testers, knows how well it locks. Besides, i believe you have to keep your reticule on the target for the to stay locked.

maybe people likes the flechette rifle and punisher, I think ill go for most common pool rifles, maybe a cycler now and then, but mostly supressor and flechette rifle.
and about the punisher, it got like 6 different ammo types (most only got 2), for different situations so it should be pretty good. yeah and decimator, its small, one shot only AV weapon with the highest dmg.
and the flechette rifle should be pretty cool. Tell me if u want a picture of the punishers ammo, but now im going to bed. its 05:20 in the morning, sleep tight everyone.

Someone looking at piloting and getting the Cert in short order. Might not have a Cert for the Jackhammer.

The Deci is also a High damage weapon, but is a disposable one shot canister. Why use it?

The dumb fire Decimator is the most powerful anti-vehicular missile launcher, and features a disposable design; once its payload is fired, the Decimator launcher is immediately discarded. This design is what allows the Decimator to be smaller than other missile launchers.

Maybe thats all the room you have in your inventory. Maybe thats all you need and now not having it after using it, opens up room in your inventory to pilfer corpses. BTW it is the MOST powerful AV missle.

Anybody know the sizes of the different rocket launchers???

Good points on the certs and inv. slots. I hadn't taken a good look at the character generator by Mazelmavin until tonight.

I started building an NC AT soldier. The certs for Agile, Reinforced, Gauss and Pheonix would take until battle rank 7 was achieved. That's not even accounting for any vehicle certs at all.

On the inv side of things, the character I was putting together would need both a punisher and pheonix. Those pheonix missles start eating up inv slots rather fast. The gun and launcher plus extra ammo left no room for things like the hacking tool or a medkit.

If things work out this way in the game after beta, I can see reason to make your item selection limited by the facilities owned.

Operating under limited information, as are all us non-betas.
