Not really as good as other work I have seen (Airlift, and eMa) but I was happy with the results.

Here's some of my original artwork and both are works in progress. I still learning so if you feel like laughing, I understand. :)

This one was drawn completely with a mouse on photoshop and is why I respect what xuur did above:

This one was outlined in pencil and scanned in then colored and shaded and re-shaped on the computer. It's based on a sketch I made of one of my children:

When I make a sig for someone, there is usually an element of humor (ok, so maybe only to me, hehe) or some kind of unusual thought or idea or perhaps a subtle (or not so subtle) hint about some personal thing that I know about the person I made teh sig for. I would show you some, but ftp server is kinda wierd right now.

Thats prolly around my skills a year ago, but i'm actually in a computer graphics class right now (literally, RIGHT NOW) and my skills w/ photoshop have increased 3fold.
