Doesn't really matter though, I don't really care if I get in or not.

IIRC vets don't need a KEY (like from twitter) their planetside account is already flagged as keyed and will get an email with invite.

The PC Gamer thing is just for those who are not vets to get a jump over people who have never played but just signed up on the planetside2.com site.

For those of you with no luck getting a beta key from twitter... Try this: http://jjh.fi/d/ps2/

Follow the twitter account using a twitter client (important, it's faster than via their website), copy the whole tweet into the box on the page (faster than just copying the code) and hit enter. The script will figure out the correct order of the characters and put it in the box for you and select it so you just need to hit Ctrl-C to and you have your correct key.

Note that it will only work with tweets which have the entire key in one message.

Not sure whether using such scripts is appreciated by the PS2 twitter folks tho :rolleyes: If the powers that be find a problem with this, I can take it offline too ;)

I thought I read or heard that closed beta was going to be pretty short. I thought that they said they would be ramping up the number of players they let in at a rapid rate. I don't have a source but if that's the case I don't imagine it will be a huge deal.

I most likely won't get into closed beta because i used my 'beta luck' getting into Black Prophecy beta, and then i couldn't play it because i finally complete the singleplayer portion, then BAM! Couldn't find anyone to PvP against, so i stopped playing, then i came back 1-2 years later, and the game failed. Barely 10 people play now. Such great potential, wasted...

So i won't be getting into Closed Beta for this.

Edit: And the sad part was, the best part about the game was 1 mission during the singleplayer missions. So i guess that proves how bad it was, but i guess if i could find people to PvP, then i would like it. But as i said, barely 8 people play it anymore.
