Okay I did a quick check through search, tried finding the answer to no avail.

Does anyone know yet whether or not the Galaxy in PS2 will have an afterburner? I sincerely hope it does if there's still an equivalent of OS. Also it was just generally good for a top level hotdrop to keep it swift.

Also.. Does anyone actually know what this craft is? Looks like a mishapen Gal or Liberator.. but the blueprint on the right makes it appear like a single-man craft...

Its a galaxy, just look at the amount of seats on the right side :) And I don't know if it has afterburner. But I suppose it does.

Ah fair shout. I wasn't sure if that was an associated list of seats for it. I'm used to just seeing the little yellow dots in the vehicle display :P

Haha yeah, and that picture above that is the mosquito I think, that is probably a placeholder.

And about the afterburners. I was looking at those certification pics Neurotoxin posted.

As you can see the Scythe has a certification for afterburner fuel. While the Galaxy has nothing. So maybe the galaxy doesn't have an afterburner. Ofcourse this doesn't need to mean anything. Just some speculation on my part.

Cheers for these. It'll be most unfortunate if that's the case. While it's quite a lumbering vehicle, that afterburn saved it more times than I can count.

Talking about that Flying Hippo Cow, it would be nice if it had, a slot for better maneuverability.Instead of Armor For Example.

Pros/Cons are needet, its a Powerfull Dropship after all, with 2 MAX slots,..

I think a good idea is to make it so that the gal driver can choose between having an afterburner, or more armour. Like ESAV (Empire Specific Air Vehicles) can choose between Ejector seat and flares

Galaxy Afterburner User's Manual:

1. Loaded to teets? Use this to get off the ground marginally faster.
2. Desperate to escape? Use this, because it will make you feel better about dying in a big ball of flame.
3. Like big rumbling sounds? Your afterburner's got ya covered!

I dunno, unless this thing comes equipped with a mass-space-time displacer, I can't imagine it having more of an effect than taping a bottle rocket to 747.

The afterburner was especially useful during the pre-drop phase where, once the gal has been spotted, it needs to drop its troops and gtfo very quickly. Most of the time the dropship itself can escape after a drop because the base defenders are more worried about the squad in the back door than about the defenseless flying manatee disappearing into the distance. It makes drops that much more effective. The boost of speed is critical in PS1, but it might be different in PS2.

The blue on the left appears to be a single man.

Huh? It's a Galaxy. You can see the number of seats on the right side of the screen. The damage model/blueprint is a placeholder for the alpha build TB was playing on at SOE weeks ago.
