As tweeted by T-Ray:

Zooming in on the left lower corner you see a little dark smoke and some tube like structures that you'd expect in a volcanic environment...but that looks a lot like a river running through the middle.

I'm hoping that this is actually the boundary between the grassy wet plains and volcanic biome, both on amerish. I can hope, right?

The spikey rocks all over don't look like a highland kinda place at all, though. They definitely seem volcanic.

Potentially its a river of lava.

Looks more searhus than amerish to me, possibly old oshur.

Neither of which they would be working on during crunch time before closed beta, so forget about them.

Looked like the desert continent to me. Not a lot to learn from a small black and white picture unfortunately.

Looks nothing like snow to me, he said it was an "old timey map" so it could probably be the Northern portion of Indar.

I believe its still Indar. I remember seeing those volcanic looking rocks from TB's interview with Higby.

MAB is totally right, good catch.

I'm still not sure what those river things are doing in the desert, but yep, its still on indar.

Well it's in grayscale, so of course it would look white.

Anyways, it kind of looks like the crater of searhus, judging by the huge cliff in the background

the bases and terrain all seem to match, except it does look like water in the screenshot or render, whatever it is.

Deserts can have rivers and streams.

I wish we'd see more water on these maps. I don't even care about hovering my Magrider over the water (I'm lying a bit), but it's just nice to have water around.

Maybe water is still being tweaked to look right in Forgelight for some reason, so they've avoided showing it and putting any in up until now. Hopefully that changes soon, I want those waterfalls and streams from the Amerish concept art to make it into the game.

Cool pic - I think it's somewhere on Indar as well.

Ya I'm really hoping to see some water in beta while playing. I'm curious to see how forgelight handles the lighting on the water and hopefully it looks awesome when a tank rolls through it this time around.

yea but it does not look like thats water on the map, it looks like water could have flowed there though...now thats something to think about...you think they could have truly dynamic weather including rising rivers and tides?

Totally Indar. The vents give it away.

Now that you mention water, I wonder if they're planning on doing any atolls or archipelagos? Man, they could introduce a whole new class of small-scale amphibious and/or watercraft units. How cool would that be?

Not until they work out the rest of the weather system. They've gotta optimize the shit out of that thing, so that lower end systems can still run the game without anybody having the option to turn those important game changing effects off.

But considering that they want to add dynamic clouds that we can hide aircraft in and smoke from the battlefield that can form smokey clouds over huge battles, I don't imagine that adding streams and pools that only form during heavy rain storms would be outside the realm of possibility.

That's what I want Cyssor 2.0 to be.
