The Support for PlanetSide Day has been Overwhelming! As such, it will be expanded to the entire weekend! The Parade will still be taking place on Sunday, however, there are now events running all weekend long!

Azure Twilight, in order to attempt to remain "Empire Neutral" is teaming up with PlanetSideTV in order to bring you non-empire specific coverage of ALL events running this weekend. Check Coles Catalogue (https://www.catalogueau.com/coles/) and Woolworths Catalogue (https://www.catalogueau.com/woolworths/). If you're in game, you can participate in any of these events (provided no poplock), The locations will be announced shortly before the event begins to do our best to prevent griefing.

In order to watch the events streaming, go to www.twitch.tv/planetside2

Wed like to request for the PARADE that EVERYONE watches the Stream channel, we will be having a few important community members (and possibly a visit from the Dev Team) speak for a few minutes on the stream on their PlanetSide Experience.

Sounds like it's going to be fun.... should throw a Galaxy demolition derby in there somewhere too ;) 399 Galaxies duking it out to be the last man standing? (poplock is 133 per empire right?)

I'm going to assume that your post is completely accurate and that you actually meant EST and GMT and not EDT (Eastern Daylight Time, i.e. EST + 1) and BST (British Summer Time, i.e. GMT + 1).

I'm confused by the GMT times given for Saturday, because some of them don't line up with the 5 hour difference between EST and GMT (i.e. 7am EST = 12am GMT, not 2am) and there's some AM/PM confusion.

I think it's... unfortunate that the events are all scheduled what is effectively night time for us Europeans. Most of the events are after midnight in Europe, a lot are effectively in the middle of the night.

Given that it's a weekend I'd have thought that it'd be okay to schedule stuff earlier in the day for the Americans so that it's not so late for the Europeans, but I guess us Europeans will have to do our own thing a bit earlier :)

I also would have applauded more EU friendly times

Saturday:
EST: 6 PM -9 PM
GMT: 11 PM -2 AM
CEST (main EU time zone at the moment): 1 AM - 4 AM
ACT: 9 AM - 12 AM

Sunday:
EST: 4 PM - 8 PM
GMT: 9 PM - 1 AM
CEST: 11 PM - 3 AM
ACT: 7 AM - 1 PM

That's pretty much giving EU the finger :x
(let alone countries more to the east)

We have to understand that we are planning an event for literally half the world. We tried to make an event that people from AUS, NA, and EU can attend.

Understood, and it your events so you plan it however you see fit. I'm merely telling you my interpretation of your organising.

Shift saturday 2 hours earlier would have been a more friendly time for all major areas.
Sunday perhaps 1 hour earlier, but that will ask the australians to put on some good coffee in the morning :D

Yeah, I'd love to join in on the parade but that is at 02:00 at night in here in Holland, and I have to work the next day so I can't stay up. But you can't please everyone I guess...
