Congratulations, you've won a prize!

You have been given a nice garage, a team of virtuoso mechanics, and a magic credit card that amazingly only works for the purchases of trailer/flatbed service, oil, petrol, spares, and tires. Who knows where the bill goes, but it certainly doesn't go to you. Somehow, your local and national tax collection agencies never notice.

You are also given one vehicle, of your choice, of any value. There are only two catches:

It needs to have 2 or 4 wheels.
It will be the only vehicle of any kind you're permitted to operate for the rest of its (or your) mechanical life.

So - what winds up in your garage?

Hmm, so no daily driver car? I'd imagine trying to drive a low-rise sports car throughout the hilly terrain around here to be annoying as frack, not to mention the potholes!

I do like the look of the Lexus LFA though...

Dang, so does that mean I can't pull a Magrider? :D

I would not be opposed to driving around in a DeLorean. Something about the steel construction makes me feel safer on the road with a bunch of crazies :) Not to mention I'd be driving 88mph almost everywhere with a watch in the car set to the time and day of when I want to be haha :groovy:

The same car I already in it...

Yea yea, you would think oh why not go for a 2 door sports car? impractical and unsafe for everyday use. This has more power and torque to match most V8 2 doors in acceleration, but on a large car chassis.

For you Americans wondering, its a Ford FPV F6. Though maybe i might upgrade it to an F6E.

I've always wondered why Ford releases its nicest models overseas. Australia, man, how does it even work?

Still working on my answer. I love my S5, but she wouldn't be my one true garage queen.

I've already got my Magnum, 5.7 liter HEMI with about 350 HP and 400 lb/ft of torque going to always-active AWD. It's one badass station wagon.

But honestly, I haven't been keeping up on car news to say what I'd buy.

Probably a Nissan GT-R. :D

First off, that is beautiful.

Anyway, maybe the new four door Aston Martin, or an Evo.

OK, I'm decided. RS6 Avant. Withholding judgement on the 2010 vs. 2013 until I see if the new V8 holds a candle to the old V10.

My phone background, computer background, wall next to my bed in my room, and iPad background....are all Ferrari Scaglietti's.

It would be a light blue color, with pitch black rims, and an extremely dark tint.

The interior would be black leather with 6" stripes with white stitches down the sides. The shift stick would contain a small LED rope light around it, like a halo, and the lights would be purple. The headlights would be LED, and tail lights would flash as the newer mustangs can be outfitted to do (I can't think of which do it).

I wouldn't speed in it either. I just love that car :D

Gimme those modular hydrogen-cell cars that were in development, where the cab can be dropped on different chassis as-desired. Then I have any car I want at any time, just switch out the cab or the chassis.

Or better yet, just make a kickass somewhat-personalized public transportation system that gets people within 2 blocks of 90% of the housing, commercial, and industrial buildings all across the nation. Make it free, too. I'd just do that, I freaking hate traffic.

Why the Scag and not, say, a 599? Or the whatsit replacement, the FF?

Theres talk of them discontinuing the falcon here and it been replaced with one of the american models like the Taurus or one of your other large car platforms.

V6 twin turbo AWD or something i think they were talking about at one stage, does sound pretty cool, even if AWD is alittle homo.

I was a RWD snob for years until my first sub-five second 0-60 sprint in six inches of snow. :) I'm pretty much hooked on having a center differential. While I was still up north, the weather literally couldn't turn to shit fast enough for me. Of course, now I live somewhere that never gets below 50. Oops.

The new Ford EcoBoost engines started pretty lame but there are American-spec V6s now pushing 420 ft.lbs. I would love to see Ford return to the RS2000 days where they were cramming serious turbos into small chassis. Preferably without neutering their big N/A V8s, but those days are sadly numbered.

Iv driven afew subarus, I just don't like the loose feel of them, they're obviously awesome and none of the issues the rwd has with traction, but yea just didn't like them, I guess it could be made more stiff to handle? Not really sure.

I'm guessing you don't live above the snow belt. :p

Up here, RWD is tons of fun until you spend your winters spinning your tires in slush.

Besides, I can hit 60 in five and a half seconds while other guys are still spinning their tires, regardless of the weather. :D

It's fun to own people with a station wagon.

I am proud to say I inherited one these monsters out of my grandpa's collection of "custom farm vehicles." He bought her a from a friend of his about 2 years ago and was using it as basically his go to truck for that time. Sadly though he passed away 6 month back from a heart attack and he left this too me and he left the rest of his collection and the 25 acres he lived on to my father. I miss him alot but honestly though I will always have this truck to remember him by.

Well he never cared much for money anyway, the man practically bartered or traded for everything he owned. I mean hell he traded his old power wagon and 2000 dollars for the deuce.

On the note of the land it has been passed down through the generations, he used to have about 50 acres total but as the decades passed they sold it little by little to stay afloat or pay for the kids college tuition. Heck my grandpa sold a lot of his land to buy my dad and his brother the houses and the land they sit on.

The deuce though, she turns heads when she drives by. Big and imposing and well... always thirsty aswell. But honestly she usually sits in the barn at my dads place since well I have no use for her being a college student and all. It's saved my dads tractor countless times and its even pulled my car out of a ditch or too. But I will admit on the weekends I do get the pleasure of driving the monster around! :D

Would be stupid not to get some extremely expensive car, but I think that takes the soul out of the thread :D

For me it would be in two wheels, some very mint condition (discontinued 2007) Yamaha Virago XV 1100

Something along these lines

It's tempting to buy an AMG SLS or an Aventador, neither of those cars could possibly work for any situation I could encounter in my life. So given that last condition, the fact that the chosen vehicle can be the only one I operate for the rest of my life, it can't be anything other than a Range Rover Sport.

Same care I'm driving today, 1994 Toyota Landcruiser. Absolutely one of the best, and possibly the toughest, off road vehicles ever made for the public market. I've seen these go for 600,000 miles with only simple maintenance performed, and well over that with preventative maintenance.

Here's mine:

Ironically, when I first posted in this thread, I was going to try to get away with an attack helicopter, but I couldn't find one with 4 wheels I liked.

It will be my car in 5-7 years(well the 4.0 diesel anyway) if all goes to plan! :D
