So I was wondering if you could run bf3 at highest settings at 30 fps...How does that compared to running Ps2 at highest settings?

So will it even run PS2 at highest settings?....

Will it have better FPS because it doesn't demand as much as bf3?

Will it have worst FPS because it demands more than bf3?

Just wondering so we can have an idea of how demanding the highest settings are or are estimated to be.

Until there's an open beta, we couldn't tell you. I'd say you're probably safe though.

I think its hard to compare something like that on a new engine until people actually get in game with their current systems and have a go.

That said, SoE and devs have stated that PS2 will be made so that it can be run on computers that are 4 or 5 years old. Taking into account the fact that BF3 released October 25, 2011, it would be fare to say that Planetside 2 will probably have lower minimum requirements.

In my opinion, ps2 will run better than bf3. I don't know why, but I just feel like dice had optimization at the bottom of their priority list. The game looks great no doubt, but it requires epic equipment to run stable. Ps2 is all about optimization to facilitate scale.
