Something im not really clear on but should be. I wanted to ask: can you activate and deactivate the infiltrators cloak ablities? Because if someone is using darklight vision it would suck if you couldn't deactivate.

It doesn't really matter, the more yuou move or shoot the more you're noticeably. There has to be some problems with using the I.S. that make it difficult.

Why would you ever want to deactivate it?

"Hey man! Come join up with me! We're gonna go attack the [insert name of empire here] base!"
"Where are you man?"
"Right here!"
"Where?"
"HERE DAMNIT! HERE!!!!"
"I can't see you! You're cloaked!"
That's why.

It puts names above friendlies' heads, so it doesn't matter.
Friendlies can see the name tag above obviously but yeah you can deactivate it. (or so lead me to believe the vid i saw yesterday)

What do you mean by that exactly? If you cloak (AFAIK) it doesn't drain power or anything so why would you deactivate it when someone looks at you with darklight?

you might want to de activate it if when you are using darklight it makes cloakers stand out but it washes everything else away. So de cloaked you would be less visible. Like in a.v.p I dont fnow if thats how darklight works though.

so, instead of being hunted by one guy, you'll be hunted by the rest of his squad, not to mention him because the moment you become visible he will turn darklight off.
most likely a darklight user will no be alone so once your umcloaked you will get mauled...probably would be better to take you chances and just runor suicide with a granade

I believe you can activate it and deactivate it, but it should have a timer on it. Like in DAOC you can't stealth unstealth and stealth in 1 second you have to wait a little bit.

well it could be only one guy... or an entire squad could have darklight vision.. you never know. It would still be nice to have the option.
why would a person using darklight have a problem seeing you with cloak off?

Darklight Vision
Greatly reduces your normal visibility while simultaneously shifting your perceptions to allow you to see cloaked enemies in an area around you.

Name or not, they are still mostly invisible. I bet it makes it pretty easy to miss them, regardless of the names.
