Just thinking there should be something to let the other classes besides Engineers to drive/fly vehicles. Here is an idea of a cert for a class to benifit for vehicles.
MAX is a vehicle in its own right so no benifits there. If anything there should be restricted in what vehicles they can be transported to. Like Gal and Sundys.
Heavy assault could make a vehicle shield cert. Add shields to a vehicle that is piloted so you can't repair the vehicle but you can add some extra protection that gives it a little more survivability. It becomes a protos vehicle.
Engineer is a vehicle class so no benifits needed there.
Medic could give transport vehicles a AOE heal also for transports give it a time boost. Turn them into medivacs.
Infiltraitor should be able to make unarmed vehicles cloaked.

Engineer gets no benefits while inside a vehicle as far as I know. What made you think this?

The engineer is the only class that can repair vehicles. But as it stands right now all vehicles have the ability to self repair if they are not in combat. This is an option however so you would have to choose between self repair, chaff/flares, or an ejection seat on your reaver.
Most ground vehicles will probably be piloted by an engineer so they can repair and still have one of the other options. I think we'll see a lot of air vehicles piloted by light assault so they can pick flares instead of the ejection seat.

Then that leave the medic and heavy assault as no benifits in a vehicle.

They benefit from having the vehicle... just because they can't offset a utility customization doesn't make them worthless in a vehicle.
If a LA with a jetpack and an Engineer with a backpack can fit in, a HA can fit in.

There is no real problem with engineers. They first have to win the engagement to reap the benefit of being able to repair themselves. Then they got to get out and expose themselves. Or you can get the equipment to automatically repair without the risk of exposing yourself. Either way
Now with Light Assault there is a bit of a problem, since it completely negates the need for the ejection seat sidegrade (unless there is some profound extra benefit to ejection seats I'm not aware of). Just add a low speed requirement to enter or exit vehicles normally. For any other class, bailing mid-fight without the ejector means near guaranteed death...so why have it other than to give LA an advantage?

Because the LA has a jetpack, its a flying infantryman. To me thats the class to fly vehicles. No more fucking calls to nerf the la anymore.

Yup, LA are meant to fly... leave them be.

Heh no, its not a nerf, unless its intentionally designed by SOE to have every pilot be LA and trivialize the need for the ejector seat. Don't worry nobody is trying to steal your cookies.

all classes have their own schtick so i don't see why you'd add more stuff to every class but engineer.

I don't know if they'll trivialize the need for it. In one of the videos, an HA bailed a short distance from a landing point and I swear died from inertial impact, not fall distance.
Inertia damage has been around since Tribes 2 AFAIK.
I don't see the jetpack completely negating that inertia unless they're using the proper thrusters, but then, they won't have much in the way of vertical movement to negate the falling part of the equation...
I think LA will uniquely balance them selves in that depending on the jetpack they have equipped, there will still be the preferable bailing altitude/speed to consider for their setup. This is all assuming the thrusters are powerful enough to negate inertia or falling, however.
The ejection seat I'm positive would make these factors a non-issue.
