I was there. It was very interesting to experience peace in Auraxis. Very happy at the maturity of most to go along. It was fun to watch it slowly erode at the end... pretty much right after the orbital strikes :)

First off thank you on behalf of all the players on vacation, working, or otherwise unable to attend. Seeing footage from this weekend lets me still be a part of what this weekend was all about, saying goodbye to a great game in order to welcome in a new one.

And I think it's a great testament to the community that a cease fire was able to be observed at all. No other game would this have worked IMO.

Killing "Hamma" was the peak of that day imo :p

Thats my mag you run into at 45 secs ;) Was awesome fun! i started off in the middle of 8 prowlers and was taking a beating so i went back and picked my outfitmate up from the bubble and made my way back. Im sorry if i ran you over on the way back to the front ... there was a couple;) Great sendoff with one last epic planetside moment!

Ya thx forthe posting, ive bren without electricity since Friday so ive been epically Annoyed about no being able to participate but atleast I can experience some of it here at work, hope everyone who could attend enjoyed it.

Seeing all of those vehicles in one spot is an amazing thing. There is no other game that lets you do that.

Of course by the amount of ghosting, i don't think PS1 "technically" allows us to do that either.

But over the weekend i have gotten in a lot of battles and it is really cool to see 3-5 pop locked continents and all of the crazy battles that have been going on.

Last night i was defending a base and about 50-75 NC rushed down the stairs to spawn and the basement. It was amazing. I died, but it was fricking cool.

Man do i love PS.

Awesome! Thanks for posting this. I missed most of the festivities, as I went and had an awesome time with my kids at the beach! I attached a couple screenshots from the VS sanctuary that I took in the evening, around 8 EST.

I wasn't able to play this weekend, but I was watching the parade on Twitch, and just before it started I told my brother that it was going to turn into a griefing clusterfuck and would only last about 3 seconds. I was absolutely shocked that it was peaceful, and I think it really shows the level of respect the players have for this game.

Bravo to everyone involved.

Last weekend I saw 4 poplocks at the same time and fights elsewhere,
so I assume that at that time 1800 people were logged in.

Yes I was annoyed, been playing PS for year's & reading this forum for the same amount of time (PS. great forum) never once voiced my opinion, why SOE did not allow everyone in the same area for the finale event? now that would of have been a great photo & something to remember! Oh & the big surprise O.S.'s ? how juvenile..

They didn't allow 2000 players on a single cont for the same reason you can't put down 2000 boomers anymore. It makes the server crash.

You can't put 2000 people in the same space on PS1, it kills it. And as for OS's ... every thing like that ends with OS spam, it's the largest flashiest thing we have so people fire them off. If you're against that i guess you must hate bonfire night.... :P

So I found this video on youtube today after watching some old PS videos. This was by far the most immature and amusing day in AC ventrilo. Plus I get to hear my 14 year old voice and lazyt's sexy giggle.

Edit: To put this in perspective for those who weren't there... there was probably like... 15 people with CR5 on Vanu Emerald who were active players (if that). About 10 of those people were in AC. This was most of those 10 using their orbital strikes to ensure AC's victory.

TL;DR: GODJOEY isn't the only troll on Emerald.
