Guys, seriously ...

"Pay to create uniforms"
"Pay to turn off camo"

What's next ?

Pay to adjust brightness ?
Pay to use numbers in your nickname ?

If you got so much money you don't know what to do with it, give it to me.
But for christ's sake stop proposing stupid "Make xyz purchasable" ideas.

SoE will make enough money by selling booster packs, unlock packs,
camos and whatnot - they are no newcomers to the market ...

Why not? Its a forum and if people want to suggest ideas such as say, paying to use a custom outfit logo there's nothing wrong with that.

Making a new thread just to complain about this however, is pointless.

You are contradicting yourself there. You say paying to create a uniform is stupid, yet you imply they understand what they are doing.

I am pretty sure they made you pay to make a guild in Everquest 2.

I'll pay for beta if it means I get it sooner. :D

We're all here to have discussions about the topics guys. Theroycrafting and talking about ideas never hurt if you don't like the Idea voice your opinion about the topic and back up your opinion. This leads to good debate and discussion and perhaps better things can come from it

I would pay for the guild feature listed because I think SOE will need more money for the game

When all is said and done there will people that will pay for every little thing but there are a lot of people that will just but enough to make them look good and go about the free game.

SOE needs to make money to keep the game afloat we don't want the mods and devs getting put some place else that is financially profitable rather then working on our game.

But that's the whole point ...

Suggest selling different looking vehicles (with same attributes)
Suggest selling some deco junk that doesn't have any impact on gameplay.

But stop suggesting basic gameplay features to turn into paid options.

Just look at MMORPGs - people (and no, it's not only girls) spend lots
of money in decorative stuff.
Sure, it's PS2, so pink ponies will not sell very well, but offer some cool
helmets and people will buy it for sure, or ultra awesome tank skins.

But i really don't want to see half the menues filled with "purchase" tags.
This really destroys games.

I understand where you are coming from. Hear me out for a second. The decorative stuff costs money to SOE to produce so when they release the game they have an amount of custom things they can sell. The developers and graphics guys then have to continue to develop more ideas. They don't work for free, so if there are other things they can gain a profit off of before sending the guys in to work on the game further it means the game will be able to survive longer.

But I really do understand where you are coming from. I actually hope they have a suggestion section because if they don't have something I want I would like to suggest it.

Or better yet have a player submission area where we can submit concepts and ideas that would save time and money for the publisher and get our ideas in game for us to purchase

SOE are well within their rights to charge a monthly subscription for PS2 as they have for PS1, it must have cost a fortune to make but they're making it free to play. Charging for a few custom skins is hardly asking a lot in return. Take a look at Tribes Ascend and you'll see a game that takes the piss when it comes to charging players for stuff.

The game should focus on selling different consmetic stuff, including logos, name tags and such.
If people want to turn of someone else skins JUST FROM THEIR prespective,i think that's r*tarded, but since it doesnt effect me in away i am just fine with it.

However limiting features that affect the gameplay such as outfit creation, that's just wrong!

how about this folks: stop trying to one up each other for who can come up with the dumbest idea on what SOE could charge real money for.

F2P players will experience the whole game for free if they choose, as SOE intends. SOE will not make it a F2T (free to try) and lock certain content behind the cash shop.

trust me, there will be plenty of stuff to buy in the cash shop without SOE having to resort to free to try model. guaranteed.

We don't need a thread like this going. If you don't like those threads don't read them
