Some times I am looking at a conversation that is on topic and then its just like NOPE! A dev had closed the page for really no good legit reason. Like so l

Topic: Do you want Prone in PS2?
Jennyboo
I would ask that you keep to the topic at hand and please not resort to personal attack for difference in opinion. This is Warning! Thank you!
Its funny because were not allowed to chat about anything related to it ether.
Topic: Prone and lean
http://www.planetside-universe.com/s...ad.php?t=41865
This is the thread you are looking for. And it went downhill from page 1 onwards.
basti
We are not having that again already. Sorry that you couldnt contribute to the old Discussion, but first you should read those 66 pages and then figure out if you can actually say something nobody else said already. Trust me, you wont find any point for or against prone or lean thats new.
Once your actually ready for a thread, feel free to open a new one. But make sure you get the poll correct, because right now "No, to Prone" and "Yes, to
Lean" is exactly the same.
And to make matters worse there are some comments that could not get opinions or ideas to branch off.
Topic: Auto Aim.... Do you want it?
Gryphon
Auto aim is different than aim assist, COD has aim assist.
No.
All of these are examples of what the admins are doing and I think that no posts should be closed unless it is some stupid stuff that is not even about the game.
Opinions>posts is why there is no post, you can just jump onto a post and be like... NOPE! and not read anything.

Uh... are you talking about the Devs of PS2? Or are you talking about these forums?
Because I'm having trouble understanding what you're going on about.

Not sure what he's whining about, but I will give him the world's smallest violin. Still, OP needs to: :stoppost:

All I was saying was that devs just close stuff for not really good reasons and should only get rid of things that are not related to PS2, that is all.

Wow, you're clueless. Hamma, JennyBoo, Marsman, Gryphon, Goku, and Basti (apologies to any I've missed) are all staff of PlanetSide-Universe.com, with Hamma being the owner of the website and Jenny being his lovely wife.
They are not Devs (game developers). They do not work for SOE, and the moderators from this website shut down threads if they're a duplicate of an already active thread or a heated subject that had to be closed down in the past because the discussion got out of hand.
Sometimes SOE Devs like Higby, CyclesMcHertz, arclegger etc post on these forums, but they're not the ones that close threads.
I've met most of the staff who run this website in person, and they're very nice people. Trust that if they're closing threads it's because they're trying to keep this community from tearing eachother apart over the topic, or tearing someone apart for not using the search feature before posting a new thread.

It's just the local mods, this is a fan forum and it's up to them what they want to moderate. It's not a very open minded community, most are PS1 vets (I daresay PS1 snobs) and aren't interested in concepts that alter the original gameplay. They are polite enough but if you want to get any traction on a controversial topic you will have to wait for the official PlanetSide 2 forums which will contain mostly new players.

7/10 on the troll, just for the number of people you've caught. otherwise 1/10 for obvious stupidity.
