Do they have flamethrowers for infantry units to?

for in bases like small corridors.

would be good.

so i wonder is it just for max units or do they have a smaller typ for regular infantry models?

I would love to see this in-game I think restrict it for heavy's only
I remember reading somewhere engies can set up a flame turret so I can foresee regular infantry making a use for a flamethrower.

I remember a twit of an under-barrel weapon mod that looked like a flame thrower and a few people (me) suggested that.

Turns out it was an NC grenade launcher. Link (http://www.planetside-universe.com/media/album/mp52rz6sp6/20120417_4f8e2eef673cd.jpg)

I guess a flamer engi turret would be cool, however I honestly would hate to see flamers on anything ever. MAX's with them are bad enough. :C

Really? I love them.

I would want flamethrowers for infantry just like they are in PS1 just for the looks of it :D

Not sure I like the idea of being able to spam flamethrowers.

Make it class-based. If only HA can use them and flamethrowers are only effective in CQC there won't be so many using it.

what about incendiary grenades instead?

They already are class based as in only max suits can equip them, not counting a possible engineer turret, and the problem I have with another classes having them is that a max isn't spamable as a normal class is.

Neither are PS1 flamethrowers spammable. They have a timer on them, just like a MAX.

You may be right. I'm indecisive about that matter...

MAXs' flamethrowers didn't look that effective at E3 anyway. But they should.

i hope not, they tend to end up as spammy weapons. I'd rather limit the amount of spray and pray.

At the E3 build it seemed to me that dual flame throwers had the lowest TTK on infantry. Personally I like how the dragon functions mechanically. Remember that flamethrowers don't just spout fire, they're actually putting out something similar to napalm that sticks and burns.

Yeah, I figure flamers in PS2 are likely going to as much about blinding the people in front of you as it is about actually trying to burn them.

So? I have been wondering how long it takes to actually kill someone when you're right in front of him burning him to the ground... Seemed to take ages.

But aside from TTK I'd like to see the player models to actually be set on fire.

Flamethrowers are more for denying an area and blocking line of sight (especially the one you're burning). If the TTK was short it would be op.

I like how flamethrowers work in Natural Selection. Hope it'll turn out somehow like this

Screw infantry, give me (generic so as not to infringe upon copy-right) Imperial Hellhounds!

this is a tough one for me, i think it is best to leave them max only but some napalm bombs coming outta air vehicles would definitely be interesting for anti-infantry. maybe a liberator cert unlock even.

Definitely limit it to heavies or armor.

Flame throwers are awesome, but wouldn't you think that as far set in the future as Planetside is, we would have been able to combat fire by now... Meh, who am I kidding. FIRE IS AWESOME!!

Flamers need to be kept limited because they less controlled than a rifle etc. The friendly fire would be to much with infantry using them.

Flamethrowers are spammy, skillless annoying weapons. Please do not give them to everyone.
