With other games like World of Tanks and recently End of Nations doing some kind of pre-order program to see who is willing to get in on the ground floor with different kinds of incentives are you interested or what level of interest would you put yourself.
:bouncy: Collectors level, (50 to 80 bucks)
All sorts of due hickys(from custom skins to whatever) and fancy collectors stuff with beta access and alot of station cash.
:D Starter Packs (10 to 30 bucks)
Smaller but still very cool stuff otherwise hard to get saying you were there man, when it all started, with some station cash.
:) Free Founder (Free)
A shiny medal for being there and hopefully getting into beta
I would pay for booster anyways so yes I am pretty sure I d pay for a starter pack!

I want a huge collectors edition. Unfortunately that is not in the works afaik :( . However, they do have an artbook in the works with I´d gladly want to purchase.

I dont think anything can top Borderlands 2's Ultimate Loot collecters edition. That thing was epic.

During the Stream my question of whether they will have a boxed collectors edition was answered and they said they had no plans to do so. but they were working on the art book as bjorntju1 already said. Though I'd love the large collectors set. Also i already have the EoN Founders planed out to buy.

Physical copy, like my gold box Everquest special edition, yes. "Digital download", absolutely not.
I did not vote, because the poll does make the distinction between physical and download-only collectors edition.

Gota love poll's where the poster puts his own biased (retarded) opinions in brackets for each option .
Games that are supposedly "free to play" and then charge money for anykind of access are a joke I wouldnt waste my money for a few weeks early access , shiney wepons skin or ingame meaningless"founders" tag .

Depends on the content of the pack, but as far as being willing to pay for stuff before release, what I've seen so far I'd be willing, though I might wait to see Beta (personally or via published videos/forum posts) before fully committing just to make sure it didn't jump a shark or anything.

If it was a reasonably good deal on stuff that was actually desirable of course.
I would be buying PS2 anyway if it was an old style game.

Planetside 2 is one of the few games I would consider supporting in this fashion.

I go $30.00 to support PS2 - picked 1
If you want to support PS2 just buy station cash.

Ok can some people please just stop asking for more stuff that costs real money? This game is designed as free2play, and I am sure SOE has already calculated the amount money they will need to sustain this game alive without your suggestions, after all they aren't actually new to this business.
If you want to support the game more you can buy more station cash, donate money or whatever, but don't gimp the game for those who can't spend big amounts of money for this game. I keep seeing threads like fees for outfits, paying so you don't see customizations or limiting the size of the outfit unless they upgrade with station cash. Cosmetics and customizations are one thing but some people are really crossing the border.
Its starting to look like you beg SOE to make this pay2win.

SWTOR sold the collectors addition with a cool little statue. I would pay good money to have a cool, good quality collectible like that. Maybe a scale model of a Reaver or a Lightning. A life size working model of a reaver would be even better.

I'm a broke student so i like the new free to play model, so I'm sticking with free.

I actually really dislike how they are doing that with MWO, and they even have a $120 package with 4 exclusive mechs. I'm sure that those mechs will be over powered as well. I would be very dissapointed to see something like this for PS2.

Well Im for the Collectors edition not for in game content but an actual Boxed collectors edition. Like Swag and cloth maps plus some playing cards or something. Though a statue would make me just start throwing money at them. (as long as we get to choose said statue as i would regret having a VS one as a TR or a TR one as a NC.
I voted for for Option 2, but i would buy a Collectors edition if there were Disks included and a Retail box

CorvicM, you asked a great question on the stream I was watching live when they answered it, my question was the one about Multi-Monitor support.
To those freaking out "OMG OMG this will push devs to make a pay to win game" I have to say seriously? grow up they already announced their intentions and the community theirs.
I was just wondering if any forms of these options were appealing to people. Because I would like to see this kind of stuff.
And those whining "OMG I WOULD NEVER PAY FOR A F2P GAME" how do you think the game stays around you derp.
I wanted to make it silly and fun to test the waters to see what the community and devs thought about this. I talk to Margret Krohn for a minute and she said so far ( along with higby on the livestream ) they didn't have plans for such a thing. I was wondering if the community wanted to see something like this as it is already a popular option alot of people can get behind.

You do realise that the only reason the game will be free to pay for you and others is because some people are prepared to pay for stuff like this right ?
There is no such thing as a completely free game, it allways costs money for someone and SOE is not a charity. This topic does not even state what might be in such a pack, so I dont see what reasoning you have to start spouting out bull like "its starting to look like you bet SOE to make this pay2win".
Yeah, some people have stupid ideas, others have smart ones, but the only people who judge what is what are the dev team, and they seem to have their heads screwed on straight so far.

See, I'd buy that, but only if it came in a gold box.

Already have been subbed on and off since 03' bought the PCG issue and have about $150 worth of station cash. I would still probably buy the Collectors edition too ;P

Yeah, I would buy the collectors edition. I hate to admit it but I really would. I would love to see it come with all the back stories. Some dog tags, some codes to redeem some free camo and so on. With that said...

Not sure why people are so demanding of a retail box with discs. It's an online only game after all. If you don't got high speed internet why are you interested at all?
Now if the box was filled with actual cool stuff. Like MAX figures, Soundtrack, Art Book an all that. Then yeah I would pay 50 dollars for that. Complimentary Station Cash or just a bunch of stuff unlocked for free included in the package would be nice.

Some people would prefer a box with discs because they may have high speed internet but they are restricted on monthly usage. I have verizon 4g and am restricted to 20 GB a month. A 15 GB download for me is a big bite out of my usage limit.
I have a job that keeps me on the road a lot so a home connection is not possible. I am willing to pay for over usage to download this beast but I would rather not if I could just buy the box.
I can play games very well on Verizon 4g with a great ping most times but the initial download is the killer. I have the extra cash to spend so I will be downloading the beta and over usage be damned.lol. but a lot of people don't have that option.

The computer I use does not have an optical drive, so I like the idea behind the Diablo 3 install USB disk that came in the shape of a soul crystal. Maybe the Planetside 2 Collector's Edition could have an install file on an Upgrade Canister flash drive?

they should do a pre-order pack with some SOE cash 2x 1 week BEP/resource booster and INSTANT beta access for 20-30€
imagin how much fucking money they would make even before the game would be launched

Instead of fancy discs get it put on a 20gb collectors USB drive, I love it
I am glad to see the general idea I was trying to flesh out.

Ok can some people please just stop asking for more stuff that costs real money?
As long as it doesn't effect game balance or restrict in-game features I'm all for asking for more ways that people can optionally spend money to support the project, including potentially limited edition skins or pre-order bundles (or more likely both). Even those that I may personally never take advantage of like re-Certification or Character transfers and similar.
Heck, if I think it would be awesome if there was a way for people to easily donate directly to PS2 development/maintenance if they want. I mean, buying SC helps the company overall, but it isn't quite the same.
